I drove through and ordered a taco salad with no taco shell, no beans, no rice and I asked for Carnitas for the meat. I got to the window and the woman asked me to repeat my order. Taco salad, no taco shell, no beans, no rice. Just lettuce, tomato, carnitas, sour cream, guacamole and cheese. I waited a good 5 minutes and finally received my order. Drove away and opened my salad to taste the meat because I was hungry and I got a dry, thinly sliced meat. It was awful and not the carnitas I ordered from Muchas Gracias in Vancouver and Portland the day before. So I turn around and head back, go inside and kindly/calmly let the cashier woman know that I think I was given the wrong meat. She looked at it and said it was correct. I kindly again said, no it wasn't the right order. She spoke to the cook in the back who came around and confirmed that it was carnitas. I was frustrated at this point but wanted to come to a happy medium and not argue with two strangers so I asked that since I was charged extra for carnitas that my meal just be remade with steak instead. The cook said he would charge me extra to do that. I asked him "so you won't fix my incorrect order and just switch the meat?" He said "no." To which I gently set my food on the counter and slid it to their side and said they could keep their meal then because I couldn't eat it as is, I turned and walked out. I was very disappointed in their poor customer service. I have been traveling since Thursday evening and eaten this meal at 3 different Muchas Gracias locations between Oregon and Washington and not had any issues. I will never support this...
Read moreI am a DOORDASH deliverer. The receipt CLEARLY STATED MY CUSTOMER PURCHASED AN ORANGE FANTA DRINK. CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE THE FULL RECEIPT. Upon my arrival and request for the Orange Fanta soft drink, the woman who presented me with my DOORDASH order REFUSED to give me my customer’s drink. She refused to give me a cup to fill my customer’s PAID DRINK. I showed her my side of the door dash screen on my phone (which included an ORANGE FANTA) and her own receipt that clearly stated an Orange Fanta. And she she said, “he no pay for drink. I no give you”. I fluently speak Spanish, and behest to her knowledge, she referred to me as a a “gringo…….__ _ ___ “ amongst other Spanish words I won’t repeat because I’m being professional. This establishment REFUSED to acknowledge me and refused to give their and MY customer their drink. Receipt is posted. Spanish isn’t a secret language. Many “white” looking people are fluent in Spanish. I relented further arguments with the woman in fear I’d be accused of being a racist and have my DOORDASH rights revoked. I have in included a Photo of the receipt FROM “Victorico’s”. It CLEARLY states my customer ordered an...
Read moreI’ve spent most of my life bouncing between Mexico and California, and I will say my standards are high when it comes to Mexican food. I don’t look for Michelin Star quality - I look for authentic, tastes-like-abuela’s-cooking. While passing through Albany, I stopped at Victorico’s without knowing anything about it, it was just a convenient location. I stepped in and first found the restaurant to be small, but very clean - a huge step up from similar restaurants I’ve been to. The cashier was friendly (although she didn’t know what I ordered was actually on the menu), and the menu itself was on digital boards; easy to read with a wide variety, and very fair pricing. I’ve been missing tortas, as I don’t live in a place with Mexican food, so I ordered a cheese steak torta. I must say, the first bite zoomed me back to a hot Mexicali kitchen, biting into some of the best asada I’ve ever had in a torta. It was absolutely delicious and a bit emotional, as well (I do miss my dear Lilia!). Well done, Victorios - you know what you’re about, and...
