I've been visiting your restaurant off and on for the last five years. During this period I had been served by Dani dozens of times. Her spirit, enthusiasm, recollection of my preferences and subsequent recommendations of new dishes and specials made it an easy decision to swing in, even when I wasn't particularly hungry or thirsty. Many times I took meals home to be eaten later just for the pick me up she gave me with her service, sincerity, humor and charm. To me she was the face of your business. I made it a point to remember her birthday just as she did mine. I included her in my fantasy sports leagues, and if she didn't win or finish in the money rounds she was always an MVP in the message boards and smack talk, never distasteful yet all in with great wit and an edge we all enjoy in those leagues. Employees like her help take the edge off nights when the food or wait times occssionally struggle in places like yours. Good perceptive managers take note of employees like Dani. People like her create a great guest experience and promote loyalty and referrals, not cardboard weak managers with no real business acumen or creative instinct to recognize talent, reward it appropriately and most importantly support and defend it when necessary. When I found out Dani was no longer employed there I asked a few questions, spoke to other long time patrons and was extremely disappointed. ONE bad review posted by a table of illiterate pot soaked morons tipped a spineless GM into removing an amazing employee with customers who had created wonderful friendships with her and invariably retained their business on evenings when the restaurant was dropping the ball due to issues the manager should have been accountable for. Nobody is perfect. Employees make mistakes. Managers too. He made a big one here. I hope his decision to favor an element I sure as hell don't need to see at a so called family restaurant in place of a person so valuable and adored is exposed and that the patrons like me express their feelings by making different dining choices. Dani will be just fine. Her talent and loyalty will be recognized and rewarded by qualified and professional management, something she was not exposed to at DMB's. My money is on her and will not be...
Read moreAll right listen. I'm going to start this off with the most important aspect of this place. They have this Hamms sign that's close to the bar.... It is the definition of Elegance. It reminds me of going to Grandma's house when you're 6 years old and using the bathroom and they have this one painting that just forever is embedded in your core memory. That's a good way to describe this place. A core memory. Charlie on a scale of 1 to 2.... you my friend are a 2! Nailed it! Great service. Look like there was a lot of traffic so obviously people are seeing the same things I'm seeing and want to keep coming back cuz I definitely would check this place out again. Corona was cold which is very important, no one likes a room temperature Rona.. definitely not this guy. We tried the campfire Wings because Charlie used his Jedi mind trick powers and convince us to try an amazing item and he didn't let us down, I really like those..alotta bit actually. I tried the turkey Supreme, I believe it was perfectly named and printed in the most appropriate font possible. It was really good and I like the dipping sauce for the fries it was like a chipotle ranch I believe. Or a Cajun ranch or something like that. It was the color of what I assumed Justin Timberlake's tears look like.. perfect. I'll see you guys again one day but if you're reading this review and you're trying to figure out where you want to go this is your sign. I'm giving you a sign to go here this is the moment you've been waiting for....
Read moreI arrived before the rest of my party at about 1:15, I asked how long the wait was and was told "about 15 minutes". It was about 40 minutes later that we were seated. After being seated we waited about another 20 minutes for our order to be taken. I asked if they had a gluten-free bun available, to which she replied "I can grab you a gluten sensitive menu?" I said, " Oh that would be great, thank you". She came back pretty quickly after that and have us about 15 minutes to look at our menus more. I got a burger with a gluten-free "bun". 40 minutes after that our food came out. I was a little disappointed to find out that the "bun" was 2 slices of gluten free toast. 🤷🏼♂️ But oh well. I didn't make a fuss about it and I can't complain too much about a GF bun vs GF toast, at least the option was there. I realized once I bit into my burger that she never asked me how cooked I wanted it. I prefer medium rare for steaks at restaurants and medium well for burgers (to be on the safe side). My burger was on the rare side and still a little bloody, which is unsettling for me with ground beef. I didn't say anything about that either so that I could just finally eat and enjoy my company. When we left it was about 4:30. I'm pretty sure they were under-staffed so I wasn't as upset with the slow service as I would have been had they had more people. All-in-all it was a decent experience but nothing spectacular. Probably wouldn't go back,...
