Arby's — Restaurant in Albuquerque

The store temperature was very hot when my family and I walked in and there was also a heavy paint smell. The staff didn't welcome us in only stared at us as we looked at the menu for a couple minutes. One of the staff members working in the kitchen was a female with her hair down, in leggings and Nike slides. One of the other workers was a male working the fryer and meat cutter without gloves. We sat in the lobby, which is absolutely not handicap accessible and posed a problem for my disabled mother to sit comfortably in the booth. There temperature was still very hot in the lobby and my husband took initiative to turn on a box fan that was sitting on one of the tables across the room. We also used a high chair to prop the door open to let in the air from outside. We finally received our food and noticed we were missing one of the orders of fries. My husband stood at the front counter waiting for someone to help him but there was no one to be found, he even shouted"hello??" a couple times. I finally had to walk though the kitchen and into the back of the store before I found an employee to ask for our missing food. The female employee went outside and when she came back in, she had two younger people with her, who processed to argue and cuss next to the table we were at. Gave me the wrong food, didn't see it until I got home 25 mins later. She confirmed what I wanted, which was correct but charged me for something totally different. This could have possibly been avoided if they had screens showing what you're ordering at the drive thru.

It got better. The manager called me as soon as she saw the review I left on their site. Told me to come back the next day and I could get a refund. Gave me the name of the manager that will be on duty and said she'd leave a note for them. I go there the next day, there was the only 2 employees outside (I thought a cigarette break), I come in and they do as well. I tell them what happened and they seemed skeptical that I spoke to their head manager. No sight of the manager I was told would be there. But after some hesitation, they gave me a refund. I will also note, that since they walked in before me, all I could smell was pot. These girls had glossy red eyes and reeked of it. No judgment but damn, can't you save it for after your shift? Never...

I know the store is very old but other restaurants are also old but updated. The store was very run down. I ordered the Greek gyro at front counter and was greeted immediately. Looked over the counter and was disgusting with food on floor dirty counters and the list goes on. What made it appear worse was the run down condition which I blame the owners and not workers . The gyro came out was prepared ok but not worth the 7 bucks paid. The food didn't taste fresh and wouldn't get again. I usually give 4 plus stars on my reviews but this was so bad, I wanted to contact the health inspectors. The only saving grace was the workers. They were working hard, polite and working in a real poor environment. Only reason for any stars was the employees. Other than employees need to work to survive, the store should be closed.
