Desperados Tequila Bar — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Didn’t feel welcomed at all. The bar said it was open. We sat a the bar and it took a good 25 minutes for someone to get our drink order. No one was tending the bar and It wasn’t busy at all we were the only people at the bar. They finally gave us our drinks and the bartender left to the other restaurant as soon as She gave us the drinks. I wanted to order another drink and order a quesadilla but again there was no one tending the bar or checking on us. When the bartender finally came back to check on us of course I just asked for the check because I had already waisted an hour just to get one drink. Went to Desperados a week or so ago and had a wonderful experience. It is connected to another restaurant in the front so there are tons of good food options available! The craft cocktail list had fresh ingredients and was different than any others I’ve seen around Albuquerque lately. Servers were very nice and attentive. They told me they host private parties and events so I will be in touch about those as well. Definitely a great addition to old town area!...

First impression— so much potential, poor execution. First off- this is attached to two cranes if anyone can’t find it. Since it is hidden they should have really done more of a speakeasy vibe. There was no music. All we could hear is two cranes kitchens fryer and the cooks in the kitchen talking. Drinks were fine. Not the most welcoming environment.
