Dec 4, 2024: We had one day to visit Albuquerque NM… first time ever. Chose to go to historic Old Town and went into many shops selling handcrafted Southwest jewelry.

While I do admire the workmanship of SW jewelry, turquoise and silver are not my style. As I was walking along, the TEKO store sign caught my attention and I went into this unique jewelry store. I’m so glad I did!

The husband and wife team are fantastic. Not only are they artisans in their own right, they are experienced, credible, and truly wanting to surpass the customer’s needs. They certainly delighted us.

The jewelry in TEKO is carefully curated and easily appeals to diverse clients. My jewelry soft spot are rings and earrings. This day, I just happened to have, in my purse, a ring I’ve treasured for years but never wore due to sizing. Well guess what? I walked out completely delighted with my newly sized ring!

I really appreciate the exceptional customer service I received at TEKO. Teko Gallery is truly a gem (pun intended) in Old Town Albuquerque. I met one of the co-owners, Johnny Renieris, about 18 months ago during a neighborhood yard sale. When I finally visited the gallery, Johnny not only remembered my name and our previous conversation about Greece but even recalled details about my time working on the islands in the late '80s. Talk about remarkable attention to detail!

That same care and precision are reflected in every piece of jewelry at Teko Gallery. Johnny and his wife, Alexis Pavlantos, are master goldsmiths who have curated a stunning collection of their own creations, along with the work of eight other talented jewelers. From timeless designs to contemporary styles, there is something for everyone, and their custom work is exceptional.

Johnny’s skill in repairing heirloom jewelry is equally impressive. He showed me a few pieces he restored, and the craftsmanship was so flawless I couldn’t tell where the old ended and the new began.

What a STUNNING little gem in Old Town Albuquerque. I recently brought my wedding ring in which had broken for the third time. Alexis and Johnny we fantastic at walking us through the repair process, and after much consulting from them, we decided to add some family heirloom gold that we had handed down to us, and have them design a new surround and bed for my old wedding ring. We picked up my newly upgraded wedding ring today, and we can’t tell you how impressed we were. The quality of craftsmanship, attention to detail, quality, over all value, we frankly were awe-struck!

Johnny was able to take a very sentimental but frankly a price of junk wedding ring, and turn it into nothing short of a one-of-kind masterpiece. Now the quality of my ring matches the quality of my marriage ;)
