CHILE RELLANOS ARE BACK! After being contacted by the owner, I went back to Garcia’s. My husband and I ordered a Chile rellano plate. The plate comes with two rellanos, beans, rice, and a sopa. So we ordered the plate with one Chile rellano in red and one Chile rellano in nacho cheese. Well the waitress got a little confused and thought we ordered one red plate and one with cheese on the side. No big deal. Got a extra plate, swapped rellanos so that each of each could have one red and one cheese. The waitress was very apologetic about the situation. She was overall very attentive. Filled our drinks. Came back to check on us. Did great. The rellanos themselfs where on point, thick breading, right amount of cheese, would of liked the rellano to be a little spicier but the flavor was there. The only complaint I had was the cheese tasted different from what I’ve had there before. The nacho cheese was watery, and tasted like tomatoes. Idk if they went with a new brand or type but It didn’t compliment the rellano at all. When it was covered in that cheese the tomato flavor over powered the chile rellano. The one smothered in red chile was AMAZING… Four stars today for professional service, speed of service, and the Chile Rellanos. Hubby says this is the Garcia’s he remembers going to when his nana was alive….

Greetings, My wife and I are originally from Tucson, Arizona. With our close proximity to the Mexican border, there are a great many Mexican restaurants in Tucson to choose from. Sonoran style Mexican food is something we really miss, since moving to New Mexico. We figured we would give Garcia's Kitchen a shot, and see how it compares to some of our favorite Mexican restaurants we enjoyed back home. I wasn't completely disappointed, but I do have to say the food wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. Taco meat was sort of bland, as were the sauces. The refried beans were actually pretty good, and I appreciate that since good refried beans in Nuevo Mexico are a little unusual. But most of the rest of the meal was just acceptable. Overall I'd say service was good, but not exceptional. Food was mediocre. I probably won't go back, and I most likely won't recommend Garcia's Kitchen, especially to my friends who really enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. Your mileage may vary. Have a great day

Decided to go out to eat for late breakfast after running errands all morning. Came here because it’s usually fast service but due to being short staffed this place is struggling. The employees we did encounter were super nice and helpful but we could see they had a lot on their plates. We sat ourselves down and didn’t get menus until asking for them after we got our drinks. Food took another 30 minutes to come out. Portions are not worth the price $13.00 for this plate is super high. Chicharrones were not the same or just old but they were super tough & chewy. Makes me regret not staying home and cooking. Hopefully they will find more staff to hire soon.

My husband took me here to eat one time. Inside. Pre-Covid. It was great food. Attentive staff. Worked with my picky eating without complaint. I would have given 5 stars!!! But today we ordered delivery from them. After it was delivery, we found several things missing. I called the store and told them we didn't receive our QT of Posole the two sopapillas that came with it. The red chile on the side for our order of Huevos Rancheros. (We were also missing the extra tortilla we paid $1.35 for, but I forgot to mention that while on the phone.) I was offered that we could go pick up the missing items from the restaurant. Or they would give us a credit and the next time we ordered from them, they would give us the items then. First we don't live in Albuquerque. We visit every few weeks to check on and help out my mother-in-law. It could be a while before we decided to order from Garcia's again. Second, are you offer to give me my posole next time I order and I'm only in the mood for tacos? I asked if we could get a refund for the missing items onto our card. They said no. So with the only options being go get the food or possibly never getting the food. My husband goes to pick it up. So much for our nice family hangout. If he was going to have to go out for food, we could have planned differently. Anyways off he goes, the rest of us sit and wait for his return. And he comes back with the posole and sopapillas. Yay! And some biscochitos. That we didn't order, well because we didn't want any. We are still missing the red on the side for the Huevos Rancheros. Super disappointed. We won't be back. I am a firm believer in take as long as you need for delivery, just be accurate when it gets to the customer. If by chance a mistake was made, I understand things happen, but then step up and do what you need to do to make the...

I have always tried to put real thought to the number of stars I give when I am rating on Google. I can tell you Garcia's Kitchen is not the Four Seasons or one of those fancy five star restaurants in NYC or LA that would cost a month's rent to eat at. But, in my opinion Garcia's Kitchen is without a doubt a five star restaurant. I've been eating at Garcia's for over a decade now. I've been to numerous locations throughout Albuquerque and the number one reason I keep going back is because eating at Garcia's is like eating at home. The staff is always nice and friendly. They often take your order without writing it down and they rarely make a mistake. The atmosphere is nice friendly and the folks that eat there are friendly too. Then there is the food! In my opinion the best red chili that you can get at a restaurant in town. I understand that's a bold statement but I love their red chili. The tamales are delicious and one of my favorites is the two eggs with double papas and chorizo smothered in red. And when you go to pay don't forget to buy extra flour tortillas absolutely delicious! For every reason that I rate restaurants atmosphere, politeness of staff, and good food, Garcia's...
