Gardunios in Nativo hotel
My review for the new Gardunios restaurant. Mind you their third restaurant opening up in Albuquerque, NM….. Here we go, so staff shortage was an issue. Staff in training was subpar. Just getting two waters was an epic wait. Contemplating the menu noticed their green chili cheese burger with their picture in the menu, looking super succulent and appealing. As we waited, around 20 minutes for the water/waitress, they have now taken our order. The drinks that we ordered were subpar did not taste like there was any alcohol in their margaritas(not strong). As soon as they brought the food to us the impression on the menus picture and what we got was nothing in comparison. The green chili cheese burger from what it looked like was barley coated in canned diced green chili with a American cheese slice right on top which seemed to hide the what they call green chili (so sad). But there is a positive outcome to this review the fries that came with the burger were the best part of the meal and the host that sat us was the true MVP of the night for us he alone did a better job than the waitress that was supposedly was serving us. This was not a good representation of how good New Mexican food can be. Definitely bummed out on...
Read moreNot what expected. A bag of bones serial killer looking type visits table 3 times with no personality leaving fajita handle facing so assuming it was on a different skillet than prepared I paid no attention till burnt on my knee. Multiple times he asked us to pay. Drinks came after the meal served. No remorse for burning someone. Snappy to where I thought he was going to pull a muscle. The manager, I assume, sweet lady handling business correct. Personable, attentive and solved an issue. If it wasn't for her I would have left without paying and fought people on the way to the door. Dont order the fajitas because u have to pay for cheese and sour cream. 3 small tortillas and a bell pepper for 16 bucks.. I grew up with gardunios and finally going to one in a known hotel I was excited. Times have been rough ith surgerys and finally being able to walk and use my arms again it was a beautiful thought to try to experience the great memories of youth and be able to forget years of pain.. this one table serving android who should have retired years ago if he was the age he looked, otherwise lay off the drugs and clubs, my night was almost ruined. Thank u manager for ur wit while matching sarcasm because it is how we...
