Hook It Up Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Great experience here at Hook It Up. Located in the very cool and hip Sawmill Market, this restaurant is an absolute must visit. The staff were awesome and the food did not take long at all. I had the fish and chips and hush puppies. I liked the creativity of the hush puppies but they weren't what I was thinking. Definitely worth a try and keep in mind that they are very big and come in a pair as a serving size. The fish and chips were so delicious and the fish was huge! I was hungry and this... Hit. The. Spot! I love malt vinegar and tartar sauce and they had both. Everything was served hot and I couldn't have been happier! (There are a ton of great spots here and it is easy to be jealous of other's food choices...

Amazingly Delicious Fish and Chips On the day we visited, they were serving haddock—and it was perfection. The fish was fresh, lightly breaded, and beautifully crisp without the heavy, doughy coating that often weighs down classic fish and chips. Every bite was light and flavorful.

The staff were friendly, fast, and impressively efficient, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The stall is conveniently located next to a cluster of tables, which made it easy to grab a seat and dig in right away. A simple setup, but everything about it...

The fish was good, crispy batter. Batter did flake off fish rather easily. Fries I am pretty sure were just frozen steak fries deep fried. Hush puppies had potential, they just lacked flavor and salt. The biggest let down was the serving size for the price. Fish and chip basket and 2 hush puppies was $25 with a tip. There was 1 piece of fish and a small amount of fries and 2 hush puppies. As far as fish and chips go, there are better value and quality to be found in Abq. This place is new so I would reevaluate after they have had time to work out...
