Bottom line, mediocre burrito that cost extra just for Chile. Not a place I can get behind.
I really should have looked at the reviews. I think this place gets a fair amount of business from people like me who are walking around and see a spot that is a little more relaxed looking (less people) than other restaurants in this market. Overall, this place was kind of a bad experience for me. Food was just not that great for the price, and they charge you $3 extra to add chile on a burrito, EVEN IF IT’s NOT SMOTHERED. When I noticed the price, I had to protest because I wanted a handheld (or chile inside) burrito, and the sign specifically says that smothered cost +$3. However, the employee said any Chile was $3 so I begrudgingly paid $3 for chile inside. I would think this business’s name would mean that chile comes with a meal… the main problem came when I started eating the burrito and there was very little Chile in it (I got halfway through the burrito and thought they had not added any Chile at all). There is just a small amount of Chile on one end. Still, the food was just OK...
Read moreIf you’re going to be a restaurant with counter/stool seating where you have to order at the register, you should either have a sign indicating this or have staff that will inform you of this when you sit at said counter. We sat at the counter for ten minutes waiting to be served until we finally realized on our own that we wouldn’t get served otherwise. Actually still waiting for our food a good 30 minutes after ordering because the staff didn’t think to inform us that they had to make more beans and it would be an extra 10-15 minutes as a result. Just makes them look bad compared to the other places in this food hall 🤷🏼♀️
Update: the beans ended up being super bland - no hint of seasoning or even a dash of salt - so I should have just asked for the plate without them instead of waiting. Rice was also lackluster. Eggs and the beef were fine, would have been nice to have an option...
Read moreThe man working there was extremely rude. We did arrive 20 minutes before close, but there’s a way to approach your customers in more respectful way. If he would have said “listen guys, we started closing up early, but there’s still a couple of items I can make for you…” However, he basically yelled that he had two items available and “that’s it!”(twice), with his hand motion. He proceeded to tell his coworker “people do this every time we’re about to close!” I worked in fast food as a manager for 8 years. I know it’s not fun, and it’s not ideal for customers to show up right before close, but you deal with it professionally! We closed at 2, whereas, this place closes at 10! I would take an order until 5 mins after closing time. I was there either way! I can’t comment on the food because we didn’t get any. We ended up...
