Starry Moon — Restaurant in Albuquerque

The boba phenomenon has definitely taken root in Albuquerque. Starry Moon is set up in a busy strip mall, but looks inviting from the outside and is relaxing and appropriately kitschy on the inside. Perhaps it was the time we showed up, but it took a good while to place our order and the staff came across as annoyed we had showed up. In their defense, it appeared they we're filling several large to go orders and the two of them could only go so fast. We both ordered a shake. The shakes where cooling, but watery, and melted rather quickly in the mild spring day, so it would have been a big letdown in August. No customer service whatsoever. Came here today. It was my 2nd time being here. Both times no one greeted us, never said hello to us. So today I greeted them and said hello. No response to me saying hello to them even though they should be the one's greeting customers. I couldn't believe it. It was a blond girl with glasses and a taller asian girl around 5:30. (if management wants to know). I come here for the convenience of it being so close and when I don't feel like going into the mall to get boba tea. After today I will never give my business to them for there utter lack of customer service. They made me and my children feel so unwelcome almost like we were bothering them. Drinks were fine but girl taking order had no customer service skills. No greeting, couldn't answer (or didn't care to) answer menu questions, no friendly demeanor at all. I have dietary restrictions so I had just a couple easy questions but was countered with indifference and a vibe that I was just a bother. No gloves to handle fresh fruit as previous review stated. I did not feel good spending my money here. Disappointing experience. I hope staff's customer service skills improve, learn to love to serve people, everything you do, do it with passion and joy.
