Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Alcoa

To Go orders sadly struggling and out of control. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area and I am concerned for the future of their business.

Short version - (food had already been paid for with TIP ADDED) I showed up 30min late (an hour after the order had been placed) to pick up online order, waited 10min after receiving text that my order would be "right out". Called - no answer. Had to go in and talk to a stand in Manager in order to get my food that had been sitting in the To Go area ready for nearly 45min. You can read on for details

Full version - My wife ordered online (Paid + TIP), I received a text that food would be ready at 5:35pm, leaving work I couldn't get there until 6:02pm (my bad). I text "Here" and @6:04pm received a text "We'll be right out with your order".

After waiting 10min I had only seen 2 orders come out to go. I couldn't go in because the small To Go already had people packed shoulder to shoulder, with another 2-3 people standing outside the To Go area waiting for space to go in. So, I called, and as I expected no one would answer.

At this point I went in the store front, no one was waiting to be seated and asked to speak to a manager. I am only giving the 2 stars because the manager (who I found out was only working tonight as a favor) was very nice and apologetic. She went back and picked up my order, which was complete and brought it too me.

I realize this is a difficult time to find employees, but if the person who was supposed to bring out curbside orders (which was already complete) is too busy bagging up...

I would normally give a 5 star because we visit this location quite a bit. But on this particular visit, the food was good but the service was terrible. When we first sat down, the server told us she would be right with us. We sat there for 22 minutes before she even took our drink order but yet she kept coming to the table beside us bringing them refills and talking to them. We finally had to ask another waitress if someone could get us some drinks and an appetizer and that is when our waitress finally came back to take our drink order.

It took another 10 minutes after she got our drink order (there were 4 of us) to actually get them to our table so now we have sat there for 32 minutes without anything to drink or even an appetizer. Once we got the drinks she took our complete order because we all knew what we wanted. She brought our skillet queso out to us and once she did, we did not see her again for most of our meal.

Someone else brought our food to us, and we started to eat and 2 of us ran out of our drinks and again we had to ask someone else to find our waitress to get our drinks. Another waitress (not our original one) brought us refills and we literally never seen our waitress again until she brought our tickets to us. We were very disappointed because again we go to the restaurant quite often and we had never had such a bad experience. And the restaurant was not busy at all this evening in particular because it was around 8:45 when we arrived. So hopefully the next time we choose to go, the service...

This use to be a favorite place to eat with my family. Today, that changed. My family and We will never visit the Alcoa chili’s, again. The visit started out normal. We were seated by the hostess, she was very kind. It did take longer than expected for our waitress to greet us. She was sweet, but was very rushed with us. Our order came out wrong, but we intended to not say anything- Until we were approached by Taylor (long black hair) She came to our table (very aggressively) and wanted to see if our order was right. (She said they sent out the wrong meal) So, I mentioned to her that my mothers meal was incorrect and before I could finish Taylor places her hand up and said (in a very condescending tone) “I don’t know anything about that!” I was very taken back.. I figured maybe I just took it wrong. But, after my mother told her about her meal, Taylor leaned down, pulled down her mask and said “well, what did you have?!” This was very hateful and aggressive, too! Before I could respond to her, she was gone. I then asked for the manager. He came to the table and was apologetic when I told him how were just treated by one of his employees. I’m not sure if his hands are tied with the situation or if he was just more concerned about if our order was correct. Our waitress apologized and said that this has happened with her (Taylor) before.

I have never been treated such way in a public establishment., especially our local Chili’s. I hope that this is not something this...
