I went to the Hooters in Alcoa,Tennessee located at 1084 Hunter Crossing Drive. Today was the 2nd time in a month that I have gotten a hair in my food. The first-time was when I ordered the shrimp platter. The hair was embedded in the batter on a piece of shrimp. I showed my waitress. She offered to have it remade. I said no I didn't want anything else. Today I was still a little uneasy about the food their. So I just ordered cheese sticks. She brought them and put them on the table. She was still at the table asking was there anything else I needed. I pulled the plate over and looked at the food. There was a big hair in plain view. I pushed it over to her and asked if she say the hair . She said yes I will have them make new ones. I said no I couldn't bring myself to eat anything from there. I left and went to another place very close by to get something to eat. I saw several other regulars from hooters. It made me wonder what had made them come there too. To me I think if you have anything to do with the food preparation you should have to wear a hair net. If you have a beard you should have to cover it also. I also think anytime there is something like that or any complaint. The manager on duty should have to come out and take care of the situation. Don't tell the waitress I'm too busy and leave it up to the waitress to resolve the situation. She is not the one in charge and responsible for the food quality coming out of the kitchen. In my mind hooter has failed in may ways today. Perhaps corporate can come up with some new policies to ensure things like this doesn't continue to happen and to drive away...
Read moreAttention Attention, Maryville folks! Hooters is going down hill! We called ahead to let the restaurant know we have a family dinner party of 9, at first we pulled in and the parking and not many cars in the parking lot. So, when we walked in and told the manager the amount in our party he acted freaked out and unable to accommodate our party. After several minutes of waiting in an overall dead dinner space, they attempted to seat us at a table meant for 6 and we had to be relocated to a different area. Once seated we had to wait for several minutes to give drink orders and had to wait a while for the drinks themself. Same for ordering and receiving food. When going to order pitchers of beer we were not informed immediately of the one pitcher per person of drinking age. Our party however was fine with following the rules but our server rudely questioned who was actually drinking the pitcher even though everyone who was drinking was of legal age and no where near intoxicated. The server then snitched to the manager, as if we where in the wrong, who then came off accusing but later ended up agreeing with us about how pitchers are meant to be shared, not drinken soley. The server was overall rude and had a distain attitude all night even upon being seated. While we know serving a larger party can be challenging. The server had minimal tables she needed constant help from both us and the manager on duty. We felt unwelcomed the entire time and as though we were being watched like we were not paying customers, trying our best to follow their rules. Overall bad service and experience , will not be...
Read moreWe were seated quickly as the location wasn’t busy. Our waitress was friendly but that’s where the “good” ends.
Food Service was SLOW; terribly slow. From the time we ordered the appetizers to when we got them was close to 30 mins. From the appetizers to when the food arrived was similar (30 mins). I know this because we we sat down and ordered when it was 1:15 mins til kickoff of the Titans game with a countdown on the tv screen.
My wife never complains about her food yet she did tonight. She chose to not even eat a second wing. The waitress did get it replaced and my wife ask for it to be brought out in a to-go box (because we had already been there for an hour). yet again the service was ridiculously slow— We had to ask where it was towards the end of the meal!
Of all the people at the table not one person had anything positive to say about the service or food, instead pointing out the fact it wasn’t a busy night (Monday).
Without a doubt the food and service didn’t match the 200 dollar check (total for the entire table).
Typically I give a location a second chance because I understand things happen, however this won’t be the case this time. Definitely will not be back. 👎
Edit: apparently the owner can’t read.
I decided to give them a second chance. They dropped the ball again. This time they lost our order. Currently been sitting here close to an hour before it...
