A highlight of the dining experience is the bar, where the bartender’s creativity shines. On my visit, I had the pleasure of trying the “Blush Rose,” and “Anastacia’s Elixer”, custom cocktails crafted by the bartender. This drink, a blend of floral and fruity notes with a hint of Spanish flair, was not only stunning to look at but also incredibly refreshing and well-balanced. It’s clear that the bartender is not just mixing drinks but creating memorable experiences for guests.
The service at the restaurant mirrors the quality found in its food and drinks—attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of your dining experience is nothing short of...
Read moreThe space is much smaller than I expected but has a very nice atmosphere and decor. I visited on a Saturday afternoon as a part of a group of 4. It was completely empty except for our table but there was a fair amount of traffic through the space because they offer public bathrooms to people along the pier. There were also a couple of groups at the outdoor pier, but we felt it was too cold for that. Our server was fairly attentive and checked in on us enough without us feeling overwhelmed. We got a few drinks before ordering tapas. We got the stone fruit sangria, a prosecco and a regular sangria. We all loved the stone fruit sangria so we ended up getting a few rounds of that. We ordered 6 or 7 different tapas including both montaditos (sandwiches), gambas, patatas bravas, croquettas, pan con tomate and the empanadas. We enjoyed everything except for the pan con tomate. The toast was very soggy the first time around so we asked the server if we could get another with crunchier bread. At first, it seemed like she didn't want to ask the kitchen to re-do it but she decided to do so. The second time it came out it was more toasted but it was still soggy so we still didn't finish or fully enjoy it. My favorite dish was the patatas and the gambas. I would visit again for tapas and the stone fruit sangria on the pier when the weather is nice, however, this isn't a restaurant that would be on the top of my list considering all of the other options...
Read moreI recently visited the DC area on a business trip, and by far the best dining experience that I had was at BARCA. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. From the helpful reservationist, Marina, to the Maitre'd George, we were treated with professionalism and welcomed warmly. We arrived a moment early for our reservation, and yet there was no hesitation or wait. A lovely 2 top with a great view of the water, timely and attentive service, well prepared cocktails all spoke of a fine dinner in front of us. We asked the server to pick out a couple of their favorite Tapas plates, and we were not disappointed. The food was top notch, the service as I mentioned was timely and not obtrusive, the suggestions for wine and dessert were flawless. All props to the staff, Dani, Doni (yes, I know), Ian, George, Natty, Mike, and I know that there were several others who helped make this a memorable experience. We finished out with an after dinner cocktail at the wine bar on land, and that was a lovely finish to a wonderful evening. I was a tad reluctant having been paralyzed by reading the stupid reviews, but when my companion selected a couple of choices, and I knew that the location would make them happy, I overcame my hesitation. Couldn't have been a better choice. If you are looking for ambience + good food + excellent service,...
