OMG! This place is completely awesome! I simply want in to retrieve an order that was placed prior. I've always been wanting to go even the day that it opened on Saturday but I've never had time. When I entered the restaurant I was not expecting what I saw and I was so impressed and overwhelmed that I caught myself pulling out my camera and taking pictures. As I was doing this the manager approach me and actually offered me a tour of the restaurant and allowed me to meet the owner. This really impress me further as this is a practice that is not normally done in little towns like this. I've lived in California South Beach Florida and New York and have traveled extensively yet only in New York and South Beach and it fine restaurants in Los Angeles was I ever introduced to the owner simply from walking in! Now for the best review... The food supersedes the restaurant! The food was awesome the salsa was perfect the chips tasted like they came out of the oven! I love this restaurant I love the people there I love the atmosphere... There is something for everyone! I'm not one to write reviews but this place Mi Tierra...! I suggest you go and believe me if you have to wait a few extra minutes for the food then wait! Because it is so worth it! This isn't fast food this isn't a buffet this isn't a drive-thru! LOL! It is a restaurant a restaurant that can get every...
Read moreThis restaurant is more of a Nuevo Mexican Food. Not so much traditional. The menu is limited, and some items are Not detailed in how they are served. Put the presentation and plating are nice. Server was not familiar with what was in some of the menu items, concerning, because not a lot on the menu. The basic enchilada plate comes with a queso cheese sauce, not traditional red sauce. The queso sauce was good but over powered the dish, I could only eat about 3/4 of one enchilada and could not finish the rest.
I ordered a bowl of the charro beans soup, fairly simple and common dish, but when it showed up with what looked like cut up Hotdogs in it, I paused. Again asked server if these were cut up Hotdogs and she was unfamiliar with the dishes content. Assistant manager or bar tender came to table and I asked him, and he confirmed that it was cut up Hotdogs in it. I sent it back, at $8.00 for a bowl of Charro Beans not interested in Hotdogs in it.
Everyone was very polite, but seemed disinterested in the fact a customer was having issues with the food. This is just my take on this restaurant, please make your own mind up, however I can not...
