Waiting 45 minutes for food at The Hub is a clear example of poor customer service, especially when the order is something as simple as loaded fries. Dining out—or even ordering takeout—should be a smooth, enjoyable experience, but when food takes nearly an hour to arrive, it disrupts the entire experience and leaves customers frustrated. While delays can happen, waiting this long for a basic item signals deeper issues within the restaurant’s operations and customer care.
First and foremost, time is valuable to customers. When I ordered loaded fries from The Hub, I expected a reasonable wait time, but 45 minutes for a relatively simple dish is excessive. Loaded fries aren't a complicated meal that requires intricate preparation; they’re typically a quick-serve option. Such a long delay suggests that The Hub either doesn't prioritize efficiency or is struggling with internal management problems. Regardless of the cause, waiting this long for food feels like a waste of time, especially when there are plenty of other restaurants that can deliver similar items much faster.
This kind of delay also points to operational inefficiencies. The Hub should have systems in place to manage orders and ensure timely food preparation, particularly for straightforward dishes like loaded fries. A 45-minute wait could mean that the kitchen is understaffed, mismanaged, or not properly coordinated with the front-of-house staff. Even if the restaurant was busy, basic food items like this should never take that long unless something is seriously wrong behind the scenes. When customers experience these delays, it reflects poorly on the restaurant’s ability to handle even routine orders.
Another major issue is the lack of communication. If there was a reason for the delay—whether the kitchen was backed up, an ingredient ran out, or an unexpected issue arose—the staff at The Hub should have communicated that. Instead, being left in the dark about why my loaded fries were taking so long only added to the frustration. A simple update or apology could have made a difference, but the absence of any explanation made it clear that customer service wasn’t a priority. Good service isn’t just about delivering food; it’s about keeping customers informed and feeling valued.
Long wait times also create a negative atmosphere. When customers are visibly annoyed or constantly checking their watches, it brings down the overall mood of the place. Even if other patrons were having a better experience, the sight of frustrated customers waiting for their orders can create a tense environment. Plus, with today’s online reviews and social media platforms, word about slow service at The Hub will spread quickly. Even if the food is good, a reputation for delays will turn people away.
Lastly, after waiting 45 minutes, the enjoyment of the food itself is completely diminished. By the time my loaded fries finally arrived, I was too annoyed to appreciate them. What should’ve been a quick, satisfying snack turned into a frustrating ordeal. No matter how good the fries might have been, the long wait overshadowed any enjoyment I could’ve gotten from the meal.
In conclusion, waiting 45 minutes for loaded fries at The Hub highlights poor customer service due to wasted time, operational issues, lack of communication, and a negative dining experience. Even the best food can’t make up for such a frustrating wait, and if The Hub doesn’t address these issues, it risks losing customers in...
Read moreI am not impressed. First I must say it was very clean and and everyone was friendly but that is about all can say that was good about this place.
I took my family, there were 6 of us, My wife and me, my daughter and son in law and my two granddaughters ages 12 and 16. My wife and I ate at the barbeque restaurant, my daughter and the 16 year old at at the Mexican restaurant, and my son in law and the 12 year old at the slider restaurant.
The food at the barbeque restaurant was horrible. The brisket was probably the worst I have every eaten. It tasted like it was boiled, absolutely tasteless. The do not know what they are doing and cut the brisket with the grain and it was tough and chewy. ( I did like their BBQ sauce but good brisket should not need BBQ sauce). There was not much meat. The sandwich comes on what I would call an oversized slider bun so it appears to be a lot of meat but it is a delusion. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich which wasn't much better. If you want good BBQ go to Hard Eights or Rudy's, even Dickies is far superior to this. My daughter and 16 year old said the Mexican food was OK but they had had better and the same with my son in law and the 12 year old that had the sliders. Most people don't know that you can adjust the syrup level in the soda machines. This is why at some restaurants the soda is really sweet and others it isn't. They have adjusted their machines so weak that it is basically colored soda water. I don't understand this, the syrup is cheap. They charge an arm and a leg for a soda, give us a little syrup.
Do not tip, or tip the same as you would at Mc Donalds because this is the level of service you get. Everything is self service and you are required to clean the tables, exactly like any fast food restaurant.
Bottom line, Nice clean place but way over priced for what you get. I understand they are new and hopefully they will figure it out eventually but until they do this is not a place I will go back to and that was the same opinion of the rest...
Read moreIt’s a sports bar on steroids… or at least, it should be!
I’ll start with the pros and then the cons
PROS: place is huge, tvs everywhere, giant screen in the middle and an overall great place to go have drinks.
Ethan was a fantastic bartender and seemed to be extremely knowledgeable with practically any drink I threw at him. They always taste the same. My girls and I LOVE consistency.
CONS:
kids everywhere! I mean everywhere! Throwing balls, screaming, yelling etc…
It’s always pretty slow, I can’t imagine a place of that size could stay open for much longer.
The food is average at best.
Didn’t know it existed for 3 years. No marketing, no exterior signs. Nothing.
Summary: The people that would go to a place like this want the atmosphere to be popping, lively and busy! It’s always slow and full of parents capitalizing on “free babysitting”. You go to a bar to have drinks, socialize and have a good time. Not to be surrounded by kids and flying balls everywhere. I’ve never understood why places that make their living off of ALCOHOL market to children!!! We love kids but not at an establishment that provides drinks and entertainment to ADULTS. Hopefully the owners read all of the previous negative reviews and actually take action because this place has serious potential.
This place could be a less pretentious Legacy but it’s currently a daycare…or a ghost town...
