I saw a Facebook ad that Zukku Sushi was giving a free Labubu sushi chef outfit with a purchase and if you bring in a Labubu. I was ecstatic since my wife and daughter are huge Labubu fans. I like to support small businesses and thought it was a great opportunity to surprise my wife and daughter. I just went to POP Mart at Stonebriar Mall to pick up 3 Labubu's and wanted to surprise my wife and daughter as we walked into Zukku Sushi. Upon entering, we see happy families with kids that received a Labubu sushi chef outfit. Some families received 3 along with others. As we went to order our food, the lady that worked in the front didn't seem pleased with us for no apparent reason. We asked about the Labubu sushi chef outfits and she mentioned it was 1 per person. My wife and I decided to do 2 separate orders, so that we at least get 2 outfits (which is the honest thing to do). My wife received hers after her order and showing the POP Mart bag with the 3 Labubu's. When I finished ordering mines, I had to ask if I can receive an outfit as well. The lady asked if I had a Labubu even after my wife shown her the 3 we bought from POP Mart when she just ordered before me. I did receive the outfit, but that wasn't were the issue was. We're sitting at the table waiting for our order and another family was waiting as well (a little bit longer than we did). They had 1 child and we see him with 1 sushi outfit. However, when they received their order, she looked straight at my wife and gave the family another sushi outfit like she had some kind of grudge with us. I had no clue what's going on, but she seem liked she had a problem with us. When I asked for a sushi outfit after a placed a $50 take out order and was nice enough to give her a $5 tip on top, she questioned if I had a Labubu....but didn't hesitate to give the other family an extra one and did it right in front of us. Mind you, we waited about 25 minutes for our take out order and she didn't offer an apology for the wait. Just in case anyone was wondering, we came in with a smile and was polite. We even talked to some of the customers that received their outfits and that they were big Labubu fans as well. Unfortunately, I will not be a regular customer here and will spread the word of the experience we received. Like I mentioned before, I just wanted to show support for new businesses....but this one I won't...
Read moreI have never had to leave a bad review, but I ordered the Big Poke bowl on the kiosk, with only sushi rice. When I had recieved my bowl, it was half spring mix/ half sushi rice. I took it back and politely asked them if they could fix it. The lady was so disrespectful, she just grabbed the lettuce mix out of the bowl with her hands, and told me if I wanted a new one I would have to re-order and pay for it. Mind you, I only have half the amount of rice. Not only that she said, “I should have clarified it”, it was a kiosk, if you have to clarify a order, it should not be a restaurant that has a kiosk. On the reciept, it said “Sushi Rice” I dont know how much clearer it gets. I paid $22 for a bowl, that I could have gotten more food, for less money somewhere else.
The food was really good, the fish was super fresh, everything had a great flavor, but sometimes bad service will ruin a place for you. I would have been happy if she would have just put in half the amount of rice to fill in for the spring mix they wrongly put in. But since I would have had to pay for a whole other $22 bowl in orser to get that HALF of the rice, I will never return. That is...

As we only drink plain water and do not prefer sugary beverages, we were surprised to learn that complimentary water was not available.
