Update: changed it to 1 star when I realized that I ordered chicken from here 5 years ago and noted they must be resetting their chicken timers at that time. The chicken then was also so dried out it was hard like jerky. I guess they never learn, and apparently neither had I because I ordered the same gross food twice. I've learned my lesson now though, maybe they will as well. I'm not going to be the one to find out. Good luck everyone, but I'd stay away from their heatlamp driedout chicken.
Update: 1 week ago (2 stars): obviously they reset the timers on their chicken rather than throwing it away. Very thin and dried out.
Update: 4 yrs ago: (3 stars) Since my last review, this McDonalds has added little desk computers for children to play preloaded games on. Its still not a "play place" and there are only 4 computers but it's DEFINITALLY a great use of the space they had available.
Original Review: 5 yrs ago (3 stars): Only two good things about this McDonalds. The first is that the staff is always friendly and the second is that the tea is always better than the other end of town.
The store layout is absolutely terrible which ruins the whole place. Inside there is no play place for children, just a little area that is really only suitable for kids under 4. The rest of the restaurant is just standard seating and there is only 1 ice machine.
The outside parking lot is set up with too many entrances which makes every trip here feel as if you're going to be in an accident just coming or going. (Which is compacted by the fact that no matter which entrance you come in, you are forced to drive all the way around the building because the double drive thru has a concrete barrier that extends way beyond necessary on either end. Don't even think about leaving the drive thru line once you are in it because you literally can't even if you wanted.)
The food here is good if they're busy but terrible if not. More than once I've left with a crispy chicken piece that had obviously had its timer reset multiple times to the point that it was practically chicken jerky. (Which they will happily make right if you go back and theyll usually give you coupons to make it up to you.)
The worst part about the place though is that when you pull up to the drive thru you are greeted by a realistic voice telling you to go ahead and order. Its actually a machine which is frustrating to the point that I avoid the drive thru now. It never fails that you will start to order and at the end the employee will ask what the first few items were because they weren't ready to take your order when you started.
Its a McDonald's so the standard isn't very high to begin with, and yet this is still a 3 star McDonald's when only compared to...
Read moreI like ordering through the app and then doing curbside pickup for several reasons. 1. I can customize my order with out confusion, 2. I don't have to deal with whatever mood the window help may be in, & 3. My order is almost always right. However, the app doesn't work at this location but it does work at every other location I go to. So today, I try the app anyway hoping it is fixed, put the order in and go to pay, only to be told sorry the app isn't working. I then proceed to go through the drive thru and this is were it really goes sideways and understand it is hard to explain her tone, her condescending responses, and the way she acted but it wasn't nice at all. The order taker is very rude, telling me that she can't give me any discounts on food until I actually order the food so order. This contradicts what I have been told in the past which is to please notify if coupons are being used before ordering because it has to be rung up differently. So I place the order emphasizing a few things like no cheese and cream in my coffee and creamer on the side too. Things that are usually not done correctly. I proceed to the window and as I am waiting for her to take my money, I hear her in stereo bellowing to the customer at the speaker box that she can't hear him. So now this guy is yelling so loud that I can hear him and I am 2 cars away. Once his order is complete she then leans out the window for my payment and I present the coupon. She while rolling her eyes then tells me that I have to place the order using the app to use the coupon. THIS IS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO TELL YOU WHEN YOU RUDELY TOLD ME TO PLACE MY ORDER. Yes, I use coupons and I save on average about 50.00 a week using coupons. AND another reason why I use apps so I don't hold up the drive thru. So, I ask her to remove the items since they won't honor the coupon and give her my card. I also verbally state that she is being rude to no avail as she just closes the door in my face. I get my card back and head to the next window where each item is handed to me one at a time. No carry for the coffees, 4 separate small bags, makes no sense. I then get to work and check my order and not to my surprise, there is no cream in the coffee and cheese on the sandwich. 11.00 breakfast and it's more wrong then right. Well, here's my final thoughts...I don't want to hear how you deserve 15.00 an hour when you are so rude and can't follow directions. I work with people who are making 12.00 an hour and what is expected of them is far more complicated and demanding. Plus my child is working in an hospital ER for less than 15.00 and seeing the most unimaginable things. Neither my daughter nor my coworkers could act this way and...
Read moreIn Alliance Ohio, there was a dark skinned woman at the windo taking my order. She asked if I wanted hot sauce ON my breakfast burritos, and I said no. When I paid, I told her I was confused and didn't realize they came in packets, not on the burritos themselves. I said, "Oh, please, I'd like a few packs." She first said "Whats wrong with you? Like never had a burrito here before?" I was taken aback by the disrespect. Im a usmc veteran, if that even matters. But, she was very "snartastic" and said that I said no sauce, so I get no sauce. I said that I'd pay for the packets. I forgot her name, but it was around 10 am. on Saturday morning. (Taschon?) I did tell her that she had no clue as to who I am, and you're trying to make my morning start off upset. I said for all you know, you might have just lost your job. But she didn't have that negative power over me. They say good help is so hard to find these days. But, sometimes, the help isn't worth the face on McDonalds, America's apple pie. I remember the jingle of a Big Mac. If you could say it fast enough, you'd get a free big Mac. I never did get that Mac attack right. McDonald's was a childhood of great family fun when we were little. Going to McDonald's, me and my sister and I would run out to the car and be in the back in a split second. McDonald's was and is a great walk down memory lane. Always exciting when the words were spoken: "Who wants to go to Mcydees?" Family if 9 piled in the 1968 Plymouth and off Wed go. Me and my sister would top each other by saying what we are going to get. Ronald, we always thought that there was just one Ronald! It was like being told Santa wasn't real when I found out how many Ronald Mcdonald's there were. Im not really a fast food fan. But, I always liked it here. This place was up state street near where the mall used to be. When I drove the 14 hours back home, I didn't stop at McDonald's for the first time. Im older, and the McDonald's I knew died. I lost so much in Alliance. Now I've lost my staple of Micky-D's fries, burgers, and my favorite vanilla milk shake that only McDonald's makes like I like them. A childhood of good heartwarming memories flushed by one woman who wasn't happy at all with what she was doing but liked to have total control. I rolled up to the pickup window and told the lady that gave me my food. She rolled her eyes and said, "Really? She wouldn't give you some after all?" I said forget it. She threw a couple of packets in and apologized. I will never go back there again. I'll drive down to State and Liberty before I'd bother with disrespectful workers. But, you must not...
