My first and probably my last time at this location. Many of my co-workers come here and bring them to the office. So I thought I would share some with my husband. Bad Idea. Honestly wish I would have saved my money. Too many things on this one trip rubbed me the wrong way. 1) I walk in and the young man is in the back. Didn't welcome me in. Ok I proceed to counter and wait for him to finish whatever he's doing. 2) Instead of asking" what can I get for you "or "how can I help you"He just looks at me. I tell him what I want which is a variety of donuts. 3) I ask for a maple bacon he says we're out of bacon. I was fine with that until I got to the end of my order; He magically thinks they have a tub of bacon bits now. I'm convinced he knew all along he just didn't want to go get them. 4) I pay and retrieve my receipt and thank him for his service. He responds with a dry "yep" wth. That was the last straw for me. Donuts are good but the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I will be shopping somewhere me and my money are appreciated. It's obvious that his mom or family member have him the job. So if customer service is big for...
Read moreWas in the mood for some dessert today and saw this place across the street. Their unique, cake-style donuts are incredibly light and fluffy, unlike other donuts you would get at Dunkin or Krispy Kreme. The smaller size lets you try multiple flavors without feeling overwhelmed. And the price is fair. The toppings are really creative and rivel duck donuts. From Java chip to creative combos like maple bacon, there's something for everyone. My personal favorite is the maple bacon, don't knock it till you try it. It tastes like pancakes and bacon. The coffee is good too, could use more selection as well as a shaken espresso type drink. The staff is super friendly, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for such gourmet donuts. The atmosphere is cozy, and it's fun to watch them make the donuts right in front of you. Highly recommend giving Da Vinci's a try!
UPDATE: 11/27/24 still my favorite donut joint, donuts are great, after working at Dunkin and being used to that quality, these donuts tasted amazing and even fresher than I remember, go support you local businesses, Dunkin is frozen and the company is greedy...
Read moreUnless you get the donuts in the morning they are not good and do not carry over to the next day. I noticed that the tip jar was removed from the counter a few times I would go to the restaurant. There are several post stating how good the customer service is and I agree the employees are always friendly. I for one like to tip employees for excellent service because the place couldn't run without committed employees. I don't know why the decision to remove the tip jar was made at that time but it was unfortunate. I personally prefer Duck Donuts in Alpharetta; the donuts are better and there's better icing coverage on the donuts.
I'm adding more because it was mentioned that my daughter worked at this location and yes, she did but I did not find that necessary at all to mention in my review as it had nothing to do with my review of this establishment. Given it was mentioned allow me to expound; my daughter resigned from her position with this location and decided to accept a position with a company that allows her to obtain experience in the area of study in which she's currently seeking her...
