Before we drove over to the restaurant, I went online specifically to check and see if the restaurant was still open. It said the hours for Saturday were 24 hours. On the way over, my GPS showed that the restaurant would be closing in an hour. Okay, not a problem, definitely enough time to get some coffee and some food before we headed home from our shopping trip. We pulled up to the restaurant and all the lights were off and everything was closed up tight. I wasn't expecting this ... how is it closed an hour earlier than is presented on their website? ALSO, they're have the, "HOURS OF OPERATION" printed on their front door, under the heading out states, "OPEN 24 HOURS" under this, "7 DAYS A WEEK." Now, since this isn't true according to the hours displayed online and on their website, I'm sitting here wondering, "WHY EXACTLY HAVE THEY NOT REMOVED THIS LARGELY PRINTED INFORMATION THAT IS NO LONGER TRUE, BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY MAKES THEM 'FALSE ADVERTISERS!' They obviously haven't had the 24/7 hours for a VERY LONG TIME, in fact, so long that it makes absolutely NO SENSE why they haven't and wouldn't have by now literally just SCRAPED the painted on advertisement of being open 365 days a year when they can't even abide by the hours they advertise online and on their website! I'm really disappointed in this particular restaurant itself, obviously it's management, staff and how this place is being run! But, I'm also really disappointed in IHOP all together! They used to have their restaurants open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those people who have been out all day running errands, going here, there, etc and it ends up being extremely late when all is said and done. Everyone has forgotten to eat, everyone is tired and they want to eat something good that is prepared for them so they don't have to go home and do even one more thing. This way they are able to relax, unwind from their day, chit chat and eat really what used to be some of the best food. Be thankful and back in a much better mood and ready to head home for bed nice and full and ready to sleep well. Instead, I show up to the restaurant expecting to get some great food, only to see lights off, doors locked yet everything online and the message on the door tells me they are there to serve me RIGHT THEN!...
Read moreCame in 9p with 3 people that was part of our party. The store was not busy, there were about 4 total customers in the building. The manager brought us to our table and told us that our server would be with us soon. We sat there for about 5 minutes before she and I mean the same lady that brought us to our table took our drink order. She was very nice and polite bringing us our drinks until, all we heard was her cussing and storming into the kitchen. Mind you, we could hear everything that she was upset about: no third shift server was coming in and she needed to get home to her kids. Alright, yes, understandable, however you are the manager. Call your store manager or other servers to cover. Doing so that may require you to stay until your relief gets there or not. What really put me off was she was complaining to every person on the staff about it loudly. Everyone in the building knew what was happening. As a manager, you can't do that. You need to make sure your staff is doing what they are supposed to do and your customers are taken care of. On top of that there was also a single hair in my husband's food, which she apologized for and comped his meal for that. Candee was the name on my receipt, which I believe was the manager. You can't act like that in front of your customers. They do not care about your personal life. They come into an establishment to enjoy their food and service to keep them coming back. I get she was having a terrible night, but now all of those customers also had a terrible night due to how you acted. I have worked in the customer service industry for 15 years, I understand that it can be very difficult, but be proactive instead...
Read moreWe waited for 18 minutes after being told there was a 10 minute wait. Once seated, I expected the place to be busy. Not the case. Just woefully understaffed. Half the restaurant was not in use. Many tables sat empty but un bussed or unclean. We waited another 14 minutes to receive a server who was obviously flustered. Our orders were given, simple fare such as omletes and waffle meals with coffee and tea or water. There was an old coffee pot still on the table. Our drinks arrived and the staff person picked up the old coffee pot, then placed all our drinks and new coffee pot, then the old coffee pot was returned back to our table. ?!? My tea bag was shoved inside the mug and was wet. The whole package. I asked for another and said I would take one of the "loose leaf" teas mentioned on the menu. The server had no clue what this was or why there was mention of assorted varieties since only one kind existed. I was given a black tea in a tea bag. No loose leaf.
I ordered crispy bacon and crispy hashbrowns, both of which arrived limp and soft.
Another of my party had some more well done hashbrowns and we switched.
Bathroom cleanliness was non existent. The paper towel dispenser was destroyed and the roll exposed. But the exposed roll was locked in place. Rather than fix the problem, staff just stuck another roll on top of everything.
Then, the sticker shock. 4 people eating breakfast at an IHOP. NOT a boutique. NOT a trendy farm to table joint. NOT a hipster brunch spot with riverviews and mimosas. An IHOP! 4...
