San Jose's Original Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Altamonte Springs

I have never had service so terrible. Our waitress came over to take our drink orders and then never came back, sat there for a whole hour with no refills, and no update on our order. When we finally had to get up to ask. Instead of someone just grabbing our drinks they said “let me go find your waitress” waited another 30 more minutes. Finally got our food, (order was very wrong) we sent it back twice. And it still came out wrong. What ever you do, do not get the rice, it was the most bland, crunchy and unappetizing thing I’ve ever put into my mouth. The whole meal was so unseasoned and very bland. When we tried to pay we attempted to explain that at least one of the order was still wrong and we didn’t eat any of it. To which the waitress argued saying that the order was indeed correct (mean while she couldn’t tell the different between the kids portion and an adult portion which is TWICE the price for the same thing) so got the manager and the manager was JUST as ignorant and rude, telling us we were wrong and she was doing her job. We never got a single refill the entire time there. And the only time she came to check on us was for taking order, dropping off food all other times we had to ask someone else to find her. Terrible food Terrible...

My fiancee and I stopped by to pick up a burrito to go before going to the park for a picnic. We happened to be there during happy hour so we ordered a happy hour margarita to share while we waited for our food. The waitress seemed new so we explained several times we were ordering our burrito to go and also ordering a margarita for here.

We paid up front (mistake). And then. We. Waited...

Five or six parties came in while we were waiting and were served ahead of us. Thirty minutes into our wait we were told that the margarita blender was broken and was on the rocks okay. We said yes and expressed that we were in a hurry.

Then we continued to wait.

It was another fifteen minutes until we got our food, which was no longer hot. The margarita still hadn't arrived and so I went to ask about it. It turns out no one had even started it - the waitress had put the order in to go (which I wasn't even aware you could do with alcohol). She had also charged us for a full size instead of the happy hour one

At this point I was ready to leave, the manager poured margarita mix into a Styrofoam cup and wrapped it in plastic wrap and handed it to me. Nothing comped, just a series of mistakes and apologies and...

Sangría, chips & salsa were excellent. The Shrimp Cocktail had too much sauce, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro & other spices and hardly any Shrimp! A total of 6, I was told by the waiter. REALLY? I'm used to eating delicious SHRIMP-stuffed cocktails in Guadalajara with very little of the other ingredients! Just enough to add flavor. Also, the waiter never came back to check on me & if all was well. He was talking to another customer in front of me for almost 5 minutes before I was able to get his attention. I asked for more Shrimp, as I had plenty of sauce and dressings left in the cup. He got the manager and they brought me another bowl filled with lots more of the sauce & a few more Shrimp. I just asked for Shrimp. No one came over after that to check on me again or to ask if I wanted something more and/or the check. I had to flag someone down myself. Very poor service & their very expensive Shrimp Cocktail left much to be desired. Will not be returning here . . . Oh! And on the check they suggest a tip of 18% or more! I am a generous tipper but I still believe tips are earned with good service & an excellent overall experience. Didn't get any...
