They have probably the best cherry limeade in town. I had heard this before I went there but saw that it was true when I actually tasted it. Not only that but they have a sugar-free version which I love because I really don't need to add 50 grams of sugar to my body every time I order one. For those that don't know that's about 12 spoonfuls of sugar. I'm guessing at the amount based on what I know a Big Red and other similar soft drinks have in them.
The first time I went in I was just looking for a cheap meal. I got a breakfast croissant and a side of tater tots with my drink. They don't give you many tots but they're cheap and they were nice and crunchy like they should be. The breakfast croissant was good and satisfied my breakfast craving even though it was afternoon. They have a breakfast plate for about 6 bucks but it's only available until 11. I went back today and was finally able to try it. They give you about a half a paper plate of good tasting hash browns that could be crispier and had delicious onions in them although you can get them without. There were two pieces of perfectly fried bacon and two fried eggs that weren't much to look at but tasted great. The toast did not have butter but they give you a little container of gravy that's pretty good and I just dipped my toast in the gravy. The coffee was not bad and they have real half-and-half available. There was a container of salsa that I didn't taste but I brought it back to dip a breakfast burrito into another day. It would be worth going back for if I got out the door in time. I tend to be a late starter.
Sometimes I spend a little more on a meal out and sometimes I just want to be frugal. I'd rather eat here than most of the fast food places in town. It's also a very handy location for several motels if you're looking for a quick breakfast or a cheap meal. Just make sure you get one of those Cherry limeades for the road. You...
Read moreThis was once a great place to go. My mom and sister took my kids to eat around 7 PM. They had just mopped the floors, they walk in and immediately some trashy chick (employee) starts cursing and talking a bunch of bs about how the floors just got messed up. They ignored her and proceeded with ordering. Later my son went to get up and his shirt caught his drink and it spilled his water... The same girl again started curing and mouthing off. When they were almost done my other son got up and somehow managed to know his chair over. Once again this chick started cursing and bumping her gums.. Talking bs about kids and dripping F bombs non stop... Finally my sister had enough and confronted her. Then the ghetto ass b*+ch started dancing like a stripper and acting like she couldn't hear her. So my sister kept asking for the manager and after yelling for her herself she finally decided to come out and talk with them. She said this isn't the first time this ghetto trashy chick has been complained about. This is the 3rd complaint and yet this chick is still there!! And that was that. This is NOT a family environment, they were playing ghetto cursing type rap and dropping F bombs very loudly and dancing to it like they were in a club. We will never return to this place and if you have kids I hope you...
Read moreSo unfortunately after reading some recent reviews of the HUD’s Coulter location, I will agree and note that I am not the only one who has noticed a decline not only in the quality of the food but also in the service of beloved HUDs. I understand there has been a change in management at both locations and although the Bell location was my common visit I have found myself at the Coulter location to see if that would satisfy my HUDs cravings. Once my sausage burrito was made poorly; a chunk of sausage packed only at the bottom of my burrito. Even then the afternoon manager was kind and offered to remake my burrito even tho I had purchased it in the morning and he lightly blamed it on the morning crew. They also skimmed my extra salsa that is now an extra charge. I agree, the limeade’s are not the same anymore. And today’s visit was sadly disappointing as my go to breakfast burritos are exceptionally smaller than before and according to one of the staff members, we have to blame the economy on this one. Cathy was very kind and patient even though she seemed a bit agitated with the morning rush and assisted me in getting a new burrito made. I miss the old HUDs food quality and the faster service from before but thank God their staff is always apologetic and eager to satisfy even the...
