This is my go-to spot in Ann Arbor. It’s as good quality food as any other place in town but faster and much cheaper (tacos are all $4-5 and two is a meal, three if you’re really hungry). There are traditional-style tacos but lots of inventive ones too, with enough variety that you can come two days in a row and get completely different but equally amazing food (and I have, many times). Particular favorites are the al pastor and barbacoa, but try the frito, thai or cameron for something different and delicious.
The chips and guac are also great and there’s a huge amount (free refills on chips), so plan one less taco! My wife is very picky about guac but loves this one, and while the chips are a bit thick for my taste they are fresh and well made.
The spicy cucumber margarita doesn’t come in a traditional glass or with salt but it’s still one of my favorite mixed drinks ever, and judging by how many I see made up in an evening while I’m waiting for mine I’m clearly not the only one who feels this way! Great mix of spicy and fresh.
The real hidden gem of this already great place is the brunch menu both weekend mornings. There are both sweet and savory tacos to mix and match, with the distinction being that sweet use a very thin waffle as the shell instead of the savory traditional corn tortilla. This makes for one of the most creative and tasty takes on chicken and waffles I’ve ever had!
Service is quick, attentive and very friendly. The ambiance is modern with a clean interior, with a tv over the bar playing the game if you want to keep up, but not as invasively as at many restaurants. Music is contemporary and energetic without being overwhelming - it’s never too loud here for good conversation. Outdoor seating is pleasant and very welcoming to polite dogs!
Overall a fantastic place to eat any time of day that will fill you up with a variety of tastes but won’t...

Pros: Professional hostess. Nice outdoor seating for small groups of 2-4. The Brix Soda Co Pure Case Sugar COCONUT PINEAPPLE is their BEST drink in my opinion (non alcoholic, current cost $3 per bottle) it tastes like a Pina Colada, unfortunately 47 grams of sugar (OMG!!!), but its delicious and worth trying. They are not joking the tacos were stuffed to the brim which was great to see from a taco place.
Cons: I didn't feel particularly wowed by anything I had. The food was fine a little blah for taste compared to delicious Mexican tacos I have had before, but if you are not highly selective I think you will probably like it. The service was SoSo (Not good not bad, just servers moving through their phase of life, don't get me wrong it wasn't bad service it just wasn't outstanding but you don't need outstanding at this type of place). This is just my personal opinion, I think the prices are highly inflated, and will add up quickly since its per taco you are ordering. (Not sure if it is the times we are living in (COVID) or because this is located in the hart of downtown probably a bit of both). Drinks were ridiculously priced for the quantity and quality you get in my opinion. (kind of a joke I think, but again this is the only item I'm being critical on because it was way out of proportion of what it should be normally. (Again this is just one persons opinion their will always be someone to pay it :-)
Natural: Because the tacos were stuffed they tend to get soggy fast so eat fast.
Conclusion: I think overall its a nice place and you should give it a try and formulate your own opinion of the place, this place probably wasn't for me and I felt the cost to value relationship is skewed, but I feel others will probably enjoy (they have a lot to offer), like everything give it and try and see if...

We decided to go in for lunch today and immediately liked the location, look, and atmosphere of the establishment.
The staff was very warm and friendly. Also knowledgeable about the menu and their product.
The establishment was very clean and showed a lot of attention to detail on cleanliness.
Now on to the food:
The tortilla chips were perfect. Not soft or soggy at all. We tried the salsa verde, pico, and guacamole and I couldn't pick which one I liked better. The guacamole was fresh, as was the pico. Very good start to a meal.
We got elote as well for starters. Like the idea of it being off the cob. The elote tasted better than most authentic restaurants I've been to. Both of us enjoyed every bite and cleaned the bowl before we left.
I tried the chorizo and shrimp tacos.
First, aesthetics: The tacos were huge. I couldn't believe the amount of food for the price. ANYone who claims those fat, gigantic, tacos are overpriced can just stick to Taco Bell because I honestly thought I ordered off the wrong menu at first because of how big they were.
Taste: Sensational. The chorizo was pleasantly seasoned, not overwhelming, and cooked to perfection. I don't remember breathing as I devoured that taco. The shrimp were not too goughtor rubbery at all. Great flavor too. The seasoning of the shrimp was perfect. Didn't mask the shrimp nor was it not enough.
We ordered both of their desserts as well.
The mexican brownie was rich and absolutely mouth watering. The tres leches cake was absolutely delicious.
