Today Clothing — Local services in Ann Arbor

Lets start off by saying I personally have zero sense in fashion. But my fears of finding a perfect outfit were laid to rest once i walked through the doors.

So I had a big date coming up. I had asked some questions about what style she would like to see me in and only got vague answers. All I had to really look good in was a single grey undershirt. I walk in with it, mention I'm looking for a "layered look" and instantly the two gentlemen took actual time to grab different options. they asked what I liked and I asked for their opinions. It was honesty all the way. Not a single time did I feel like they were trying to "upsell" or "convince me to drop alot of cash". It was all sincere.

Pricewise yeah it is up there. But its fantastic materials, and they go out of their way to teach you how to handle said materials. The proper way to wash them and take care of them. It was money very well spent, I don't think I have ever looked as good as I did on that date and thankfully she agreed as well :)

So huge kudos to everyone there! I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to help me figure out what looks good, and how to properly take care of it! I look forward to...

The most satisfying retail experience I've had to date?

I'm the kind of guy who gets intimidated easily, to the point where I pass on going into all sorts of cool stores just because I think to myself "I am an imposter by even stepping inside." Lucky for me, I was with a friend who intended for us to go in.

I knew just from looking through the window that there was no shortage of styles I wanted to look at and try on. It's such a rare pleasure these days to be able to actually try on clothes, find your size, feel them out, and know if you want them when you walk out the door, rather than knowing you're stacking up a bunch of returns with yet another online order.

Once Eric saw the styles I was leaning into he kept the options coming, even pulling stuff from the back that wasn't on display. And he emphasized I should feel NO PRESSURE to buy, which I needed to hear. I walked out with four items and am genuinely happy I went in.

In short, solid range of styles, great store design, genuine help from staff/owner, fun...

As far as I’m aware, there’s no other designer menswear boutique of this caliber in Southeast Michigan. Today Clothing is excellent. Their selection is impeccably curated, blending influences ranging from American/Japanese workwear, streetwear, and European minimalism. There’s a little bit of something here for everyone—from eccentric pieces crafted from exotic materials, to more utilitarian staples—and yet it all fits into a cohesive aesthetic. The few times I’ve been here the staff has been great. They’re all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their product, and they’ve always been more than happy to just shoot the breeze. Yes, the clothing here is pricey. And yes, you could save money by scouring the internet for secondhand pieces and end of season sales. However, nothing beats being able to actually experience the clothing first hand and having that personal interaction with someone.
