Rixie's Carry Out — Restaurant in Annapolis

Stopped past to grab a quick meal on a Wednesday afternoon. I wanted to grab one of their lunch specials, but I was too late. The lunch specials are served from 11am - 3pm. It's half a sub and fries and I believe they start for $10. Instead, I got a footlong cheesesteak. I'm a simply man, so just ketchup and mayo on it. To me, it's one of the better cheesesteaks in Annapolis. The steak and bread were tender and the condiments did not overpower the flavor of the steak. It's a very beefy sandwich.

I'm not sure, but it appears that they may have streamlined the menu to just include subs and fried chicken. The Chinese food pictures are still up, but they were not available on the menu. Well, fried rice is still available with your wings if you want it,, but not sure if it is otherwise. If this is the case, I recommend stopping by for some wings and fried rice with mumbo sauce...

The food itself is good but the service is terrible. I work just down the street from them and I walk in and start looking at the Menu. All I say is you're pretty to the lady at the front and go back to looking at the menu to decide what Im getting, since I walked in the door she has a seriously frustated llok ok her face like I annoyed her as soon as I walked in. Anyways Im looking at the menu then I have a question about fried noodles, then a question is they have dumplings, then if they can fry the lo mein and to all my questions I got a rude-dry response and she looks like she is in a hurry. Im taking a long time because Im genuine not sure what to get and I got discouraged by her attitude and I should add Im a little sensitive so I just walked out and Im not going back without someone else to deal with...

Please don't go in expecting something different from the other reviews read online. Rixie's is just a Chinese joint that happens to make subs. From the reviews, I was expecting something completely different. The Cheese steak was absolutely bland. No flavor what so ever, a reviewer called it the closest thing to a philly cheese steak??? One review boasted "authentic wings", HA! They were soaked in a sweet gel sauce, not buffalo. Form your own opinions, but this is nothing special. I guess this is why I've lived in Annapolis all my life (32 years) and just heard of this place via a 6th page Google search for...
