On Saturday, 5/20/23, I visited your Apple Valley location with my mother and her sisters to play bingo and eat and have fun. It started out like any normal day at a restaurant, we ordered and waited for our food. Then, food started to come to our table but in very dispersed frequencies. My aunts got their salads, my girlfriend got her grilled cheese and fries pretty fast, however myself and my mother were both waiting over 1 hour to receive our orders (chicken tenders and I ordered a simple burger and fries). Meanwhile, we saw SO many orders going out involving burgers and fries. Then, the waitress (Kellie) comes out and says something like “oh yeah we will order it on the fly”. As a guest, we don’t know what that means. Did she forget to order my food? I am diabetic, therefore having food on time is very important! And I was getting hypoglycemic, which could have sent me to the hospital had the food taken any longer. Then, the manager comes over and says that our waitress was not comfortable serving us any longer. For what? We have no idea honestly. Nothing bad was said to anybody, just general discontent with the overall service and no sense of urgency or that we are guests. All I said was “these orders (chicken tenders and my burger) should be free” for how long we had to wait and everybody else at our table was done bingo had already well started, when we were early enough to be done eating by the time bingo started. Then Autumn Wagner (your manager) came and my aunt talked very gently to her by pulling her aside and telling her what our issues were and how it was very unacceptable. So Autumn then comes to us a little later after offering us a free desert for my mom’s birthday, and then tells us they are no longer serving us maybe 10 minutes later (what?) but we could still play bingo. This is FAR UNACCEPTABLE. We didn’t do anything to anybody. We were the guests, had a very poor experience and we were treated like WE were the problem. UNBELIEVABLE! We have NEVER been treated like this anywhere else. Then, to top it off, they had another service member (male) come and take our payments after waiting another 30 minutes. Why couldn’t the manager grab our payments? Was she even a manager? She couldn’t handle a simple complaint that the food was way late for no reason and we wanted those 2 items free for the big inconvenience that almost sent me to the hospital had I had to wait any longer. I can’t imagine what would happen if there was a bigger issue and your manager, Autumn had an actual ANGRY customer. We will NEVER be back. Guests beware and heaven forbid you have an issue...
Read moreOk, first I would like to say that we loved this place, food, drinks and their amazing staff, until this past Saturday when i went with my sister and her 7 yr old daughter for our regular bingo night, which we go every Wednesday and Saturday nights. Well this time was completely different. I asked the waitress for 2 beers and she asked for photo id's, which we gave to her, however my sister's id isn't "American" so we were told she'll check to see if they would accept it, then came back to say no, and we were ok with that. So We went ahead and ask for a pepsi. 2 minutes later a Joshua "came to find out he was the manager 10 minutes later, brought the 2 beers to our table, my sister and I were like"wth is going on" so we just went ahead and start drinking the beers, then maybe 10 minutes later, this same Joshua guy comes back to our table all mad and what not, asking us to pay the bill and leave the restaurant, because we were breaking his drinking rules when we have already been told that my sister could not drink, yet he was the one that brought us the beers. We tried to give the beer back, all he kept saying was "pay the bill and leave" when we have also bought 3 packs of bingo worth $16/each pack i asked if i could at least ask for my money back, the "manager" said no because those people work for him and wont do anything. At this point this so called manager is starting to raise his voice, to the point i had to ask him to calm down, that we had a child present. This guy look like he was about to have a heart attack, literally. I still can not believe the way we were treated, after coming here twice a week for years. I even asked him "this is how you treat your regulars" he just kept saying pay the bill and leave. So we left, to...
Read moreAtmosphere and decor - 5 out of 5 - rustic and decorated for the type of restaurant theme. Nice
Service - 3 out of 5 Only 1 server working at the time. Once several tables left the service got better and quicker.
Food - 2 out of 5 Had the traditional wings. They did not appear to be cooked crispy like I'm used to. Sweet chili sauce for the wings pretty good.
Had the shrimp and steak fajitas. Smelled awesome coming out on the hot skillet; however, most items do when real hot. The steak fajitas were a major disappointment. Absolutely no flavor. Most restaurants that have excellent fajitas marinade their meat and at the bare minimum flavor with extra seasoning for quick service. Then the guac I was charged for was $2.99 for literally a spoon size scoop. Totally overpriced for the quantity.
The last item ordered was pulled pork nachos which were alright.
AND FINALLY when I received the $53 bill, the restaurant had the nerve to charge me a $1.54 service fee. I asked what that was for and the waitress said it was to cover some of the cost of food. Isn't that the cost of doing business? Why am I paying for that? Increase the price of the entress but don't have customers paying a service fee that is part of doing business.
I spoke with the manager about the below average experience and she said, "They get compliments all the time on the fajitas and that the cooks missed there mark on mine. Didn't offer to compensate or try to fix the experience." She asked me to call the general manager the next day.
First and last time we will eat here. Definitely not worth the...
