Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Appleton

We ordered a pizza but accidentally gave them the wrong address, which was our mistake. So we called them to tell them the new address before they delivered the pizza but they still didn’t deliver it here even though we were assured we’d have it delivered. So we contacted them and it turns out they delivered it at the wrong address so we asked if we could have the pizzas delivered at ours and they said they’d have the pizzas delivered here in 20-30 minutes. We waited and an hour went by, no pizzas. So we called again and they told us we’d have the pizzas in another 25-35 minutes so we waited one more time and we received no pizza. Mind you, during these calls we had to repeat the name of the order several times, the address several times and what was ordered. This time when we called he went to check and it turns out they weren’t even being made. By now we’d been waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes for hour food so we were getting very agitated. I asked to speak to the manager and after waiting 5 minutes for him to go get the manager he returned and told us the manager was too busy. We decided to get a refund and were waiting for it to go through. The customer service is absolutely awful compared to other restaurants and the person I was talking to seemed almost high because they kept asking the same things over and over again. Pizza is always great at any Papa John's, so this review is about the customer service at this particular location.

I walked in and asked the employee if there are any deals and she said no. Then, I specifically asked about "pairings" (word choice is important. You'll see why shortly). Again she said no. So I placed my order for one large two topping pizza and breadsticks. After I paid, she went to go make the food.

While she was in the back, I noticed a stack of coupons where the employee was just standing (pictured and circled). So I grabbed the coupons and looked at them. One was for "pairings", and the other was for a discounted two topping large pizza. I had literally just paid $21.67 for a pizza that, with that coupon, would have been $13.99+tax.

SHE TOLD ME THERE WERE NO DEALS and there was a coupon for a deal right next to her for literally the exact thing I ordered.

This is EXACTLY how to lose a customer for life, and hopefully many others will avoid this place after seeing this review. Hopefully Harold Rose of Minot, ND (on the receipt, I assume he's the franchisee) is proud...

Update months later ordered again and the pizza was severely under cooked bottom was soggy dough I’ll be switching to Pizza Hut for the remainder of my time in this area this papa John’s is the worst one you can order from. The way this happens btw is from them not cleaning the pans that are meant to have holes in it I’m sure there’s don’t anymore the oven is 400 degrees they just aren’t running a good operation Ordered a pizza by accident for carry out called a minute later to cancel they lie and say it's already out of the oven and can't cancel. Well then your delivery times should be under an hour if that's the case..... It's two hours sometimes.... don’t even get me started on this pizza they delivered today idk who thinks you do this to a pepperoni pizza but what in the world were you thinking… then let’s talk about how the last 6 pizzas I got were just awful I mean just taste wrong I don’t know how this can be when they are made right they are my favorite pizza but what ever they are doing here right now is somehow making pizzas that are nearly inedible. If my family didn’t prefer their other offerings so much I’d never order from here again. Don’t order...
