Fellow food fanatics, adventurers, and lovers of life, lend me your ears—or better yet, your appetites! I’ve scoured the highways and byways of most of the United States and ventured into the vibrant street markets of Thailand, chasing flavors that ignite the soul. But nothing—nothing—prepared me for the sheer exhilaration of TJ Sushi and Steakhouse in Wisconsin, where the hibachi grill is wielded by a culinary rockstar named Hapi. Buckle up, because this isn’t just dinner—it’s a front-row seat to a flavor-packed spectacle! Hapi doesn’t just cook; he performs with the flair of a circus ringmaster and the precision of a sushi samurai. The moment those flames leap skyward, you’re hooked—knives spinning, flames roaring, and shrimp tails flipping through the air like tiny acrobats. His grin is contagious, his energy boundless, and his personality? A supernova of charm that could brighten even the gloomiest Wisconsin winter day. I’ve savored hibachi from coast to coast and grilled delights in Thailand’s bustling night markets, but Hapi’s showmanship is in a league of its own. When I asked to capture his magic on video, he beamed that million-dollar smile and said, “Of course!”—though let me tell you, no screen can fully convey the electric vibe of being there live. Then there’s the food—oh, the food! Hapi’s creations are a love letter to your taste buds: steaks seared to juicy perfection, seafood so fresh it practically winks at you, and veggies that pop with flavor like a fireworks finale. It’s a feast that could unite foodies from Milwaukee to Bangkok in a chorus of “Wow!” Whether you’re gathered around the hibachi grill, mesmerized by Hapi’s antics, or kicking back at a table with your takeout, every bite is a masterpiece. The vibe at TJ Sushi and Steakhouse is pure joy—an irresistible mix of Hapi’s laughter, the sizzle of the grill, and a staff so friendly you’ll feel like you’ve been adopted into the family. The service? Flawless. The atmosphere? Unbeatable. This is the spot for every occasion—birthdays, anniversaries, or just a random night when you crave something extraordinary. I’ve seen the ripple effect of my first visit: word’s spreading fast, and folks are flocking to this Wisconsin treasure in droves. And why not? It’s a culinary carnival starring Hapi, the hibachi hero who’s turning TJ’s into a destination. So, whether you’re a local or a traveler passing through, heed my call: rally your crew, bring your hunger, and dive into the magic of TJ Sushi and Steakhouse. Hapi and his team will leave you grinning, stuffed, and plotting your next visit. This isn’t just a meal—it’s a memory, a masterpiece, a must. Five stars? Please—this place deserves a constellation!

Updating this morning... When we first arrived there was no one to seat us so we stood around for several minutes And even the cook was looking at us. We finally seated ourselves when the waiter did show up he told us to move with no apology. He was very direct and matter of fact. We complied with understanding... I ordered the mango chicken and out of three out of five for spiciness. I ordered a three. It was definitely a five. The waiter did not have much charisma at all. He was very direct and rude to us while we ordered. He was definitely in a very foul mood and did not set the tone right we struggled to not take it personally. After serving us he didn't even come back and ask us how was the food either... How can this restaurant have staff like this? I cannot recommend this place... part of the experience of going out is having a good server who cares for you this is not the place. I honestly believe he made my meal more spicy than it should have. We did however have an appetizer which was fantastic. It was a chicken satay! Other than that there are other Asian restaurants here in the area that I will go to in the future. Definitely not here... totally unacceptable. I started writing this review in front of the server when he gave me the check he knew what I was writing and I did not leave him a tip. If the owner of this restaurant responds to this review we may come back if they do not respond you can rest assured they care not for their customers. My mango chicken was so hot that my nose is still runny... Just awful.

I have always had a great food experience at TJ's. The one downside would be little slow service. The positives though: they are not afraid to use fish! I know that may sound odd given they are a sushi place but in my experience with local sushi spots, they cater to a community that is afraid to eat raw fish. Most places serve some rendition of the California roll with bite size pieces of fish. Not at TJ's! The fish is fresher and larger than anywhere else in Northeast WI. Personally, I order the Luxury Night (chef's choice), I request heavy on the sashimi, no nigiri and a few things the chef would like to create. I'm never disappointed. As an appetizer I like to order the pineapple fried rice entree. They do a fantastic job with presentation as well. In fact... I'm headed there for lunch today!

Wow. I've been to TJ's before, but the changes they've made recently have made all the difference. It was always good, but now it's just amazing. We started with a sushi appetizer that really hit the spot. My husband had the chicken hibachi dinner while I took recommendations from the server on two rolls. Everything was delicious! And the chef did great making substitutions for my allergies to make it all worry-free. Highly recommend the sake bay breeze to drink. I would have thought it would have been too sweet (and I like sweet) but the sake balances it all out perfectly! Get down to TJs--like I said, it's always been good but wow! Since they reopened their hibachi service recently it's just fantastic. Great job all!!!

Really cool place with a variety of options including hibachi. I had to keep trying to get the waitress attention to be served more water, but other than that, it was a good time
