Santa Anita Mall / Uncle Tetsu — Restaurant in Arcadia

I purchased two delicious (Ube,strawberry) cheesecake's for my wife's Birthday OMG!!! how Amazing were they. Let me tell you, they were Spongy, moist, with a lot of flavor but not too sweet. Will definitely come back and try the rest. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to try something different you will not regret it. These will be our new treats when we are around the area and trust me i will definitely be around the area.

My only bad review is that I placed the order through Uber eats and it did not go well.

People before you place the order please read this.

Uber eats chose the location further from my house and added more to the delivery fee. Also the prices went up $2-$4 per cake that I purchased through the app and then to top it off it took them more than 55 min to deliver it from the time i ordered. which the location was only 20-25 min away. The other location closest to my house was only 15 min away.WOW shame on you Uber.

Ending this bad experience with @ubereats #unereats that they did not provide me with a final receipt until 15 min after i had received my order which i then saw that my original price including 15% tip was around $40 but when i saw the receipt i was charged almost $60 and some change. REALLY uber eats i will never order through them ever again.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE CHEESECAKE.

I'll admit that the biggest turn off about this place is its long wait. But if you come during the weekdays the line is much more reasonable (and nonexistent if you come either right before opening or around 2-4pm).

These cheesecakes are not like any cheesecakes you've had before. If you come in thinking it'll be cold, thick, and strong in flavor then you'll be sorely disappointed. Uncle Tetsu Japanese cheesecake is essentially a spongey cheesecake that melts in your mouth.

Depending on the flavor you get, the prices will range from $8-10 or so. Their plain and original is definitely worth trying once. I know that on some months they feature different flavors, like coffee and soon-to-be green tea (honestly can't wait for that) so there's certainly a reason to come back for more.

ALL of their cheesecakes are made fresh so if that alone is not a selling point then I don't know what else there is to it!

Overall, I highly recommend coming here at least once to try their products because it's certainly delicious. I wouldn't necessarily say it's worth waiting more than an hour for it, but if you ever find the time when it isn't super busy then you should definitely stop by and...

I’m very disappointed at this business’s lack of integrity and accountability.

This location was doing a pop-up event with The Loaf Bakery in Santa Clarita. I had ordered two cakes.

Uncle Tetsu was severely behind schedule in arriving to the event on time. I arrive to The Loaf at my scheduled pickup time. The owner of The Loaf showed me a text message (with a screenshot of the freeway) that the Tetsu crew was running very late due to traffic (poor planning on their part).

I spent the rest of the afternoon waiting for any sort of follow up communication from Tetsu – received nothing. No follow up via email, text, or call about a refund or makeup event.

I appealed the charge with my credit card company, but Tetsu said otherwise.

I don’t care about the $26 at the end of the day. I’m greatly disappointed at the lack of integrity and accountability of this company. Clearly, $26 was more important than morals, ethics, and being a honest local business. I’ll be taking my holiday gift...
