As I entered the business Tuesday evening, a young man (dark hair and glasses) was waiting on an elderly gentleman. He conduct and customer service was unbelievable...so disrespectful. When I placed my order he was as equally disrespectful... Absolutely amazed! After a significant wait, the older gentleman picked up his order, which was rudely slid on the counter, without comment from the young man and quickly went to the back of the store. Two more gentlemen arrived to order a treat and they received the same disrespectful customer service. One of the customers commented on the young man's conduct... "amazing ...wow" When my order arrived I received same customer service the older gentleman received. In addition, the drink order was missing...but my request was ignored. By raising my voice a young lady appeared from the back and completed my order. As the young lady handed my drinks and carrier, the young man returned to the front counter. I shared my displeasure with his rude behaviour to the elderly gentleman and reported if he were in my employ he would be terminated! As a manager of a large business, I cannot remember such awful treatment of the elderly! Kudos to the young lady who attempted to apologize for the young man's behaviour and provide the...
Read moreDid you ever order something at a restaurant and it just wasn't right when you started eating it? I took my family to the Dairy Queen @ 5960 North Oracle Tucson last night for a treat after dinner. I ordered a salted caramel truffle blizzard. When I started eating it I detected something wasn't right about the treat. I took it back to the counter and explained to them that something wasn't right with the blizzard. I was informed that they were out of the pralines and instead had substituted Heath bar treats into my blizzard. I told them that was not acceptable and if they were out of an ingredient they should ASK the customer before they chose to substitute. Caitlan informed me that it was "Something we do all the time" and I retorted that it was not the right thing to do......Her response back to me..........."DON'T BE RUDE TO ME" ....What the heck....This teenager first of all needs to be taught manors to customers and never have attitude or talk back when it comes to a legitimate customer complaint. Dairy Queen management should be ashamed of the lack of service and POOR attitude towards customers that are paying your wages young lady. Substitutions may be acceptable but the customers should be informed BEFORE the...
Read moreWe went at 5pm on a Wednesday. It wasn't super busy. We were the 2nd car in the drive thru with one car behind us. After sitting for 4 min without being greeted, I finally said, "Hello?" and was told someone would be right there. After another 2 or 3 min, someone finally took my order. We ordered 3 chix strip meals, pretty straightforward, but it took clarification after clarification to finally be sure the order was right. After another few minutes sitting at the window unacknowledged, someone finally took my payment. It took another 13 minutes and several more clarifications before we got our food. All told, we were in the drive thru for over 20 minutes!!
Having worked at DQ all thru high school and college, I know what a DQ chix strip basket should look and taste like. The strips, first of all, did not taste like DQ at all. Secondly, in my order of 4, the above, which you can see was smaller than the gravy cup, was counted as one of those 4. And they were so overdone that the breading was difficult to chew.
It's unfortunate because this store is close to my home, and I have a soft spot for DQ, but this was absolutely unacceptable. Not sure that I...
