Just got finished with the Thanksgiving dinner I picked up. It was absolutely delicious. As close to homemade as you could get except the "roll", which was mediocre. I had. Boston Market last year and boy was that a mistake. I paid more for: processed turkey...ready mix mashed potatoes...and canned corn like from the 60's or 70's and a small dinner roll. No cranberry sauce. They wanted an extra $1.99 for the cranberry sauce and said they couldn't give me an extra dinner roll, even for an extra charge. I couldn't believe it. There must have been at least 50 or so of there right there in front of me. I will NEVER go there again.Dennys beat them by a mile and was cheaper. Thank you Dennys for a great Thanksgiving dinner.
This is a separate posting from the one above. They won't let post a new review about another visit. So I had to choose to "edit" the above review to get this one on. 4 Stars Got the All American Slam and the pot roast dinner. The Slam was excellent as usual. The "slow roasted" pot roast was very good except the vegetables I don't think we're part of that "slow roasting". The carrots were thick and only half cooked, as were the pieces of celery and green beans...all of which had stringy textures that got caught up in my teeth. It was a pleasant surprise to have the right amount of gravy on the mashed potatoes. Most places give you what amounts to is a drizzle of gravy like it's made of gold. The meat was very good but just a smidgen dry. I'd order it again taking the chance that the veggies might get cooked thoroughly. It's not fun chewing stringy veggies and having to take the ball of "string" leftover after chewing them out of your mouth to throw them away. Till next time....see ya Visit June 8th, 2021....3 1/2 Stars Tonight...got the new Big Dipped sandwich and a Grand Slam Slugger. The Grand Slam was excellent as always. The Big Dipper...I dunno. Not really bad, but needing something. It's pot roast meat on a grilled buttered bread with Swiss cheese. You got a decent amount of meat and it was tender. Just tasted a little different with the Swiss cheese and bread...which usually for a roast beef sandwich. The dipping juice was au jus normally for roast beef also. It didn't complement the pot roast meat very well. The bread was thin and soft and it couldn't hold up to the weight of the meat. They gave me a decent size "bowl" for the au jus, but it barely had any in it...maybe 1/8" thick...enough for about 4-5 dips and that's all...not even half the sandwich. I ordered these meals to go, so there was no going back to get more au jus after getting home. I wouldn't have anyway. The tastes of pot roast combined with the French Dip theme, to me, wasn't an experience I would try again. It just...
Read moreWas there today about 1:30, 10-10-16... walked in, there was no attendant at the desk, however there were about 4 employees conversing about 10ft away, I made eye contact with all of them but wasn't addressed until about a minute later, being told someone would be with me. After being seated the waitress comes over, she was pleasant, I ordered simple pancakes eggs & sausage. I waited what seemed to be an exorbitant amount of time; While waiting I had to endure several conversations by the staff and a the couple next to me; who inquired if they served "salmon", the waitress yelled across the room to another staffer concerning the request, the staffer didn't hear her so she yelled yet again. When my food finally came it was cold and inaccurate. By now I'm DONE! I decided to leave and address my experience to what appeared to be someone with authority whom was standing at the counter; she was in a heated conversation with a staffer in which she DID NOT conclude due my presence. Once she finished publicly reprimanding him, she looked at me and said, Are you ready? in a very snide & irritated tone. Once I told her I was not staying due to my unsatisfactory experience reasons, she rolled her eyes and said, Ugh!; at that point I turned and walked out. I felt this woman was extremely rude and inappropriate in so many ways, which explained this locations inefficiency. For the record, I DON'T NORMALLY DO REVIEWS, but this experience deserved one. Too bad you can't...
Read moreOur server was great. Very sweet and apologetic. The front lady was not. We were served undercooked eggs. The egg whites were clear and just wet. (Bf ordered over easy eggs) it’s expected to be runny but it wasn’t cooked the correct way. Our server apologized and they remade it. I specifically asked for no pork. Instead I substituted the bacon and sausage for Turkey bacon. Pork makes me feel extremely sick. I was then served 4 slices of what we believed to be turkey. I took a bite and had to spit it out. It was ham. My bf tried it and agreed it was ham. (He grew up on a literal farm, he knows the difference) The server again was extremely apologetic and genuinely felt bad. Then I went to pay and ask for some kind of cost taken off for the inconvenience. The front lady proceeded to go on a rant about their bacon, sausage and ham and told me I was given turkey. When we disagreed she went into the kitchen and took a plate of food (presumably someone else’s order) and showed us the “turkey bacon”. I didn’t bother to argue. But it wasn’t turkey. I only eat turkey bacon and have had it at Dennys, what I was served was not what I ordered. Be weary of the turkey bacon. Front lady was very rude and not understanding at all. The bacon was taken back with two bites taken out of it. It was gross. We did not get any kind of reimbursement for it. Horrible customer service from her part. Go to ihop, they have actual turkey bacon and good...
