Gail Ann's is very unassuming and cash only, but the doughnuts are very large and delicious. You won't find crazy toppings or anything fancy-looking. The cake donuts are quite hearty. I've had the yeast doughnut (also delicious), but I gravitate to cake ones. There are a two or three tiny tables inside, and there's often one outside in the summer. Like all good doughnut shops, get there early, especially on weekends, to get a better selection. I haven't had the muffins, and I got one of the HUGE cinnamon rolls once. My husband and I skip the coffee, but it could have been an off day the one time...

Local and cash only (or venmo too now) coffee shop with sandwiches and delicious pastries. I usually get a hot or iced coffee and a coffee roll - the big size is great to bring home to share since it's the size of my face! Delicious.

Everyone is so nice here, and often people are sitting here chatting over food and drinks.

They have indoor and outdoor seating and are right across from the 80 bus stop which is convenient for me. There is also a book store and other food places to stop by if you want to make a morning or afternoon...

Just tried this little gem of a place and it was wonderful! I don't live in the Boston area but occasionally come in for work and discovered this via Google. Wonderfully crafted menu with big donuts, decadent muffins, bagels, sandwiches, on and on and on! Great bang for your buck and way better than the big chains in my humble opinion!
