They're always willing to accommodate my meal choice. Friendly and attentive staff. Cute, cozy environment. Average price for thai food.
Update just visited again on 7/31/18. My son just wanted plain chicken, but they were unwilling to do this. I ordered the Rama Garden so I asked if I could add chicken to my entree as was stated on the menu, but have it on the side, he said no. I then asked if I could have it on top of my vegetables, but my peanut sauce on the side. After the second time of me explaining, he finally agreed.
Siam rolls were overcooked and flavorless. I've gotten the golden bags in the past and they're usually tasty. Should have stuck with those. There was a hair in my son's rice, but no one came to check on us and he was easy going about it, just separated that section of rice.
We put that hard fought for chicken on his plate, and it was pretty dry. I ordered and was charged for extra peanut sauce, but I was only given the normal size small dish. The peanut sauce was thick, oily and lumpy. It had actual peanuts in it which was nice and a little kick, but the thickness didn't mix well with the veggies. My vegetables were fresh and there were a lot of them. Entree didn't come with rice, but I ordered sticky rice. It never came, but I was never charged, so I just let it go.
They became pretty busy for a Tuesday night and there were only two of them frantically running around taking care of people in the dining room, those picking up takeout and answering the phone.
This has always been my go-to dine-in Thai option. Looks like I'll be shopping around again and ordering takeout from Rice Cube. Such a disappointing experience. My prior time dining in was average and the takeout was...
Read moreUntil tonight, I had been a long time customer of Thai Moon going back several years. Tonight, March 1st 2017 at approximately 6pm, I dined with my girlfriend at Thai Moon. We ordered both the Siam Fried Rice and Chicken Basil Fried Rice. While eating the Chicken Basil Fried rice, I noticed something sharp that cut my mouth. When I pulled it out, it was chicken bone. I let the waitress know immediately and showed her the sharp piece. She walked away and I assumed she would get the manager. She came back a few minutes later and asked if we wanted to take the rest of the food home. At that point I asked to speak to the manager. I explained I cut my mouth on the chicken bone and the manager laughed. I said its not funny, and it would be very dangerous if I swallowed it. He did not apologize, and when I told him there was no way I would pay for that meal. He told us to leave. I even asked if he had seen the sharp piece his response was he threw it away.
Please note we had been long time customers and we did not expect to be treated that way. We will not be back and if I had swallowed that bone vs have a cut mouth they would be...
Read moreThe crab rangoons were still frozen on the inside when we bit into them, the waiter yelled something in Thai to the nice waitress and never came to our table again after we told him we only wanted one thai iced tea not the two he brought (can't figure out the misuderstnding I just said easy on the ice after I ordered it), and when I asked for lime or lemon for my Pad Thai to the nice lady she looked at the guy then told me it didn't come with lemon, I said that all other Thai restaurants added a wedge in the dish and I'd be happy to pay extra for it, so I get a thin slice of lemon meant for drinks. The lady I guess felt sorry for us and later brought a decent lemon wedge I could actually squeeze. No we won't be back. I can tolerate some not great service or food, but I won't tolerate rude service and dismissive atittudes. Thai restaurants are not in shortage and the one in Porter, Sugar and Spice, even if a bit further away, has better cuisine, and service has always been...
