I had a interview with Tania about 2 weeks ago. She was an hour late for the interview so I came back an hour later and had a brief interview because she said she had lost her phone and couldn’t look up my information (I know how professional right) so she said to come back a few days later when she had her shyt together, which I did. The second interview went great! I told her I would prefer to work night shift she said that’s exactly what they were hiring for and that I’d hear back from MKV McDonald’s corporate office in 12 hours to discuss pay and exact schedule. So a few days go by and I call them, because like the true caring, professionals they are, they never had the decency or respect to call me. Tania says she’ll call me on Monday which was a few days from when I called. She never called! I know SHOCKER right! So I finally just went into the location and lo and behold they have a table with little applications trying to get people to work. I ask what happened and they gm Elsa says they “moved on with different candidates.” They wouldn’t even give me a single reason why. So even though I have plenty restaurant experience, could work ANY SHIFT, was told I would receive a call from MKV within 12 hours to discuss specifics about the job, they didn’t hire me. The only reason I can think of is because I’m white and they have like 2 people that work there that are white. Absolutely despicable McDonalds!!! And the district manager Claudia was completely rude, confrontational, inconsiderate, cruel, and hostile! So, it really kinda worked out cause I don’t want to work for a bigoted, racist company anyways! So if you’re white, don’t waste your time!!!
EDIT After speaking with my lawyer and asking him about the situation, he said while McDonald’s’s isn’t required to give me a reason as to why they didn’t hire me, the reason why they refused is most likely because if they told me why they didn’t hire me, they would be revealing their discriminatory hiring practices. Read moreI had a really bad experience at McDonald's today. First of all, the meal they prepared for me was not the meal I ordered. I asked them to prepare again, and they did so without even apologizing. The second meal was still two sundaes short! I asked them to check the order again for the second time. Please give me the sundae. The result prepares the young lady to ignore me, the little elder brother that orders a dining table only comes to ask what I need. He gave me sundaes, but they were only two thirds the size I'd ever seen! I've been completely disappointed. I placed an order on my mobile APP, specifying the types and number of sauces I needed. They didn't have everything ready. It's too much to ask me what sauce I need and still not have it ready. I feel badly treated! They didn't have napkins, straws, ketchup for French fries or the sauce I asked for. When I finally got home and began to eat, I found that instead of coke, I had Pepper in my hand. I was finally angry! This is definitely the worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time in America! What happened to McDonald's? This is not the first time for me to visit this restaurant. Read moreUPDATED Review: Over the last three times I've visited, they have gotten my order wrong. I can only come to the conclusion that this location has gone down hill for sure, in recent years. For example, on 6/3/24 almost my whole order was wrong, as my Bacon Cajun Ranch Deluxe McCrispy had no bacon on it, my Chocolate MilkShake was totally missing, and I had received extra cookies that I didn't want. More recently, I decided to have a less complicated order, by only ordering large fries and a medium water on 6/24/24, but they forgot my water. Plus, every time I politely ask for my missing items, it only seems like one employee on the team can actually understand what I'm saying. I'd say that the staff has gone from indifferent to rude now, and that the food is still standard, but only if you manage to actually receive it. The area is still dicey too.
Old review: This McDonald's is in somewhat of a dicey area, I've been inappropriately propositioned at least twice by patrons as I'm trying to enter. The staff are quite indifferent but not rude. The food here is standard and just like any other McDonald's food.
