Pei Wei Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Arlington

As you read in many reviews, the S. Arlington store has been a hit or miss for many years. In the past 10 years, this store has gone from exceptional, to spotty, and now consistently underperforming. About 7 years ago we just stopped going. It was hard to believe, but approx 80% of all to go orders were incorrect and delayed on pick up time. They were nice when you called, but the customer's only option is to get back in the car and make another round trip to resolve THEIR problems. Frustrating they just can't solve the issue!! Last night we agreed to give it another shot. Food was accurate but when we walked in to get the food at the pick up time, were told it would 20-25 minutes late. The store had a single table of 3 customers so not sure the cause of the delay. When I read through other reviews, shouldn't be surprised by the empty dining room.

We live less than 8 blocks from the store so guess we are back to the Mansfield location. Longer drive time but with food always accurate and on time, overall time is shorter than multiple trips and delays at S. Arlington. We will try it again in...

If the owner of this location cares at all about their business then they need to listen and take action about what the customers are reviewing. Unfortunately for you, you’ve lost another customer because I won’t be ordering from this location again.

It took 15 minutes for someone to even ANSWER the phone to take our order. Finally someone answers and she proceeds to tell me they are out of fried rice. What Asian restaurant runs out of fried rice??? I order and she proceeds to tell me it’ll be 30 min before it’s ready. Great.....tried ordering 15 min ago and my husband made it there BEFORE someone answered and now gets to wait that long???.

He goes inside and it’s chaos! Every customer is angry and the place is terribly understaffed. He felt bad for them because they were really trying to keep up. You need to staff appropriately and not have ONE person running there entire front area. Stop counting your pennies and run your business better.

have not been here in a while due to the poor service / food quality. Thought we would give it another try today. My chicken & broccoli with white rice was good. came out quick & hot. Wife had fried rice and beef & broccoli. She said it was the worst fried rice she has ever had anywhere. Service was great. Staff was very friendly. 5 stars there. Not sure what is going on with Pei Wei's food quality but they need to right their ship, and quickly. I've eaten at the Pei Wei on Collins & the service / food there was terrible. I used to love Pei Wei. food & service were both always good, but they are sliding in the last year or so it seems. Not sure what corporate is doing but they need to get better cooks if they plan on staying open, which I hope they do.
