In the last 3 months due to an unfortunate and unexpected life event that was very tragic I begin staying at hotels in the Arlington area. I definitely feel and I can say I know my hotels. I am going to share with you which one has become my favorite and why. I have stayed at these hotels in Arlington Red Roof Inn, Motel 6, Days Inn, Extended Stay America, and finally where I am now Studio 6 in South Arlington on West Pleasant Ridge Rd. I picked this place because it was the cheapest but I know the real reason I was led here. I believe nothing in life is a coincidence even hotel choices. When first arrived I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman named Taylor working the front desk. I asked him what the weekly rate was and if he had a non smoking room available on the first floor. He said yes mam I sure do and it is $308.98 before taxes it ends being $362.29 for 7 days. That was a non smoking room on the first floor I said okay give me a minute and I counted my money and I was a little short. I asked him if he could give me a minute let me go get the rest Taylor said no problem take your time. I normally would be feeling embarrassed not having enough money but because of Taylor I wasn't. He never stopped smiling he was patient and kind he treated me with respect the entire time. The South Arlington Studio 6 has become the place I call home for now guests can stay 1 night or 20 nights its whatever you need. The room was super clean every inch of it, the bathroom is big, I was pleasantly surprised in the Kitchenette the cabinets were fully stocked just like your csbinets st home pots, pans, plates small and big, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs, the drawer had silverware, can opener, kitchen utensils, kitchen towels small and big, and EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN VERY CLEAN full size refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, have made me feel like I am home. Another great thing is all the extra shelving throughout the room, the table is great I use it to eat my meals but it also is where I work my computer sits perfectly on it the electric outlets are placed in just the right places, the bed is super comfy, great size tv that includes cable love it, the AC works great I literally get cold, there's plenty of light from the window or the lamps, and its hardwood floors NOT CARPET this is great you know its clean. Oh and I can't forget Studio 6 is PET FRIENDLY they have plenty of places for your pets to relieve themselves and they are all grass the pet fee is very reasonable. The most important thing to me is not the room and all the amenities its the amazing Studio 6 employees the from the General Manager J.J. to all the way to the man that keeps this place in tip top shape named Reggie, the front desk agents that go above and beyond to make sure each guest is happy Keda I think she is really an Angel lol is patient and kind she runs a tight ship but she is very special Studio 6 is blessed to have her she is super special she makes this place better. The operations manager Maryssa she treats you and your situation just as if it was hers she shows compassion and that means so much to a guest. So that's why you should make the South Arlington Studio 6 your home away from home whether its for one night or ten nights you will be beyond happy that you stayed here. Will keep the light on for you tell them Erika sent you!! Thank you Studio 6 Staff I am so grateful for the kindness each of you have given me and making me feel like I am home. J.J. you have an amazing staff that says a lot about you. God Bless Erika...
Read moreMy Husband, myself and daughter stayed there from 10/2016 -03/10/17. Small room, property kept well. Maintenance, Housekeeping & Front Desk Staff was friendly except GM JJ WALKER! I reported to her my new Mac makeup was missing after two cleaning ladies cleaned our room. She attacked me stating her girls didn't steal nor wore makeup and that she didn't like me and preferred to only speak to MY HUSBAND. I informed G6 of this who informed me it was JJ's discretion to compensate me for my makeup...yeah right
Out of nowhere March 2, 2017 our bathroom reeked of Marijuana strong in the middle of the night to afternoon. Front office was informed and I shared it with a Front Office Clerk who was coming out a vacant room. Neighbors stated JJ barged in their rooms, approached them but never once addressing MY HUSBAND nor me. She passed our room to get to their rooms and I have a verifiable heart condition!!!
On Wed. March 8th, 2017 I received an emergency call around 8am (ish).. As I approached the end of the balcony I was told by the caller not to come yet. JJ WALKER runs out simontainsly as the call is wrapping up looks up and says "Be quiet"! After I hung up I went in the office and ask did she know about the Marijuana smell in our room because I had heart problems. She gave me a mean look and wouldn't say a word!!! I said "Well are you going to reimburse me for my make up?" A lady from the back office came up to JJ and with her back turned to me they started talking. I said, "Wow, that's rude". JJ looks at me with a mean look and says, "No, I'm not replacing your makeup. Check out, get out Friday and have your Husband get down here better yet I'm calling him." When I got upstairs my Husband said, Wow she hates you. We have to check out Friday"...We didn't cause any problems during our stay and we had the right to report my makeup was missing and MARIJUANA!!! No matter who stayed beneath us. We were informed ALLEGEDLY a Family living there over 20yrs. were the culprits but they're untouchable because of their ALLEGED years and number of rooms they occupy. However, MARIJUANA IS ILLEGAL IN ARLINGTON!!!
So much for CUSTOMER SERVICE especially to long term guest. I guess she had a thing for MY HUSBAND. Women seem to be attracted to Ministers and MY HUSBAND is handsome and quite talented..LOL.
Of course G6 was notified but I got an useless apology....Thankfully I work for a classy Hotel Chain. This experience makes me do an even better job and I'm proud I represent the overnight team as the Number One Guest Services Agent/Night Auditor. Clearly JJ Walker needs a crash course in Customer Service immediately!!! So we left or was kicked out Friday,...
Read moreThe perfect place if you are a drug dealer/ drug user. An absolute disgrace otherwise. The old white female individual who "manages" this property should be terminated immediately. I received ZERO help with the out-of-control neighbors on either side of my room other than to be told by the front office staff to call the police myself because in that case "They will respond faster". The manager actually told me that I was going to get my "a@# kicked" for complaining about the neighbors, who were literally selling drugs out of their room. This person is trash, period. The property is a filthy disgrace. The front door to room 272 was initially boarded up with particle board when I arrived in November, 2018. The police officers told me that it was because the SWAT Team had blown the door off to capture a person who was selling crystal meth out of the room. I am in the area as a disabled United States Marine Corps veteran who needs local medical treatment for Service related conditions. I CANNOT BELIEVE that this human filth told me that I was going to "Get my a@# kicked" over issues that she herself should have had under control. A disgrace. If all of that weren't enough, she literally said to me "Yea I appreciate what you did for the government or whatever" after I told her that I was a disabled veteran who should not be spoken to in that manner in response to her telling me that I may have my "a@# kicked". On top of everything else this hotel stole roughly $200 in tax money from me. The State of Texas passed a law more than 15 years ago that if someone stays in a Texas hotel/ motel longer than 31 days then they will stop paying taxes on their room and have all of the tax that they have hence paid over the first 31 days refunded back to them by a credit to their hotel room account. I was told at this hotel however that since I "Did not declare" that I would be staying for longer than 31 days when I first arrived that they would not credit my account for the tax money that I paid over my first 31 days in the hotel. These are the types of people that you will be dealing with if you choose to book a room here. Liars, thieves, drug dealers and...
