I have visited this Wendy's for lunch a few times because it is near my workplace. The food at this Wendy's has consistently been mediocre and falls short of their usual standards. However, on this occasion, I purchased something for both my colleague and me. Man, was I really ashamed! To begin with, the drive-thru system was out of order. I was told that if I wanted to place an order, I needed to do it indoors. I am aware that technology can sometimes fail, so I am not upset about it. Especially as I had to step out of my car during this 105-degree Texas heat. I got a Baconator for myself and an Asiago Ranch Chicken Club for her. While almost done with her meal, she let out a scream when she felt something puncture her gums. After removing the object from her mouth, she realized it looked like a sharp bone. Upon closer examination, it was determined to be a pointed plastic item. As previously mentioned, I felt extremely ashamed and apologized to her. Will I be ordering from this establishment again? Couldn't take back right then because I was at work; kept receipt to take back after work. They would not exchange because she said i didn't call and report a problem. Told her I didn't know to call especially when I had my receipt. We had a few choice words because she told me people were bringing food back from other "Wendy's" and using people receipts from their store and they already had given away "$30" in food. I said well that's not a lot of money, my combo was over $10. Needless to say she wouldn't exchange saying I have to get the manager on the shift when purchasing to exchange. I will be going back not for an exchange but to get a refund..... They just lost a loyal customer good for 3 to 4 days a week over a $10 meal with a receipt.. The drink machine was down so when I asked if they could fill our cups at the counter the manager Sandra just rolled her eyes at us like it was such a big deal. Stood in line for about 15 minutes and there was only 1 person in front of us. He was only ordering a single patty cheeseburger and a small fry with no salt. Itâs like he was asking so much from them. The girl Whitnee who was taking his order was sweet but couldnât get the order right and kept asking for the managers finger print to fix the order and the manger wasnât listening.
