I ordered a to go order online when I got there it was ready When It was supposed to be the food was hot and everything was correct. However when I was checking my order which I always do before leaving. I thought I was missing an egg, a server came up to me and said what do you need? What you missing? I said I think I might be missing one of the extra eggs. She picked up the container The egg was in she shook it around and said no look You could see 2. I packed this order Myself You're not gonna tell me it's not in there, i said I'm sorry I made a mistake I see it. Thank you and she said yeah and she started grabbing my food that I had on the counter to check it and started moving it down the counter there was Nobody else there it wasn't in anybody's way. I said ma'am I can put my food back in my bag. Thank you. and she said what's taking so long? I said look I wasn't rude. I don't know why you're being rude. She instantly raised her voice and started yelling at me that she's not rude how dare I come to her counter and tell her something was missing. When she packed it herself I said ma'am I already said I was mistaken I wasn't rude in the beginning. You instantly got an attitude and she just kept yelling at me until what I assume is a manager walked over and the lady walked away. Manager said is everything okay? I said Yeah it's fine I said I don't know why she just yelled at me. She's been rude I wasn't rude to her. Then when I got outside I realized I didn't have syrup n butter when I walked back in The manager seen me and said Hey did you need something? She got me my syrup n butter and apologized for the server and said It's Just Been a day. Which I can understand because I Was once a server, I get it but she was rude off the bat. I give it four stars because the server was extremely rude and aggressive but the Manager came right over to diffuse the situation and was happy to get the condiments that I needed And apologized for...
Read moreAbout 6 months ago a friend and I visited this location and had a breakfast for dinner, nostalgic night. -Remembering the times we had in high-school coming in because it was one of the few places open after dances and games. Mediocre food, nice waitress. This morning 5/18 at about 8:30 I stopped by alone, for a breakfast while I was in town. I brought my newspaper and intended to just have a simple quiet breakfast and decompress. I did end up having a delicious breakfast, just not here. After several minutes of standing at the hostess desk unacknowledged I finally recognized the staff that waa standing around nearby had no intention of serving me. The " please wait to be seated sign" is very confusing. I watched a group of seniors come in and seat themselves. I assumed they were regulars and were probably meeting a group. I didnt begrudge them, but I did watch in amazement as a server turned away from me to gather cutlery for them. Soon after, i saw a kitchen staff member, a man, looking my way . I asked if i should seat myself? No answer. Then after a few more minutes of foolishly standing at the hostess station. I finally took the hint and realized I was never going to be seated. I took my newspaper and what was left of my dignity and left. I ended up at IHOP down the road where I had a great experience. I recommend you do the same. Just drive right past Dennys and find literally any other establishment that realizes they depend on customer service. Just basic customer service. I realize places get busy. I can sympathize that sometimes you cant immediately get to a customer. Just a simple " we'll be with you in a few" or " seat yourself" would do so much to set expectations and make someone feel welcome. So much room for improvement here. Staff needs courtesy training and from what I've seen, a thorough cleaning on the floors...
Read moreThis location could HANDS DOWN beat "The people of WalMart". Our 50 yr old white waiter had a gruff voice & spoke a vernacular making you think he was from the hood. All while serving mostly older people he kept calling them "Brutha" . "Whatchu need, Brutha?"...really? 50 yr old talking to a 70 yr old couple? Left tables waiting & waiting while he constantly talked at tge same tables...even tho we told him we had to get my elderly Mother to a Dr appt. The only time he acknowledged us is when we stood to leave...(after 20-25 min wait to get the check from him, asking twice). And really? A bald head with a tiny round patch at the base of his skull..working at Dennys in Arnold MO. Too funny. Wait staff is always aweful here. Completely different world in South County. FOOD: always aweful. Only go there because my love for my elderly Mother overrides me own desire for good food. Son had NACHOS..looked like someone had already ate them...NOTHING..at all like menu pics & slopped onto platter. Chicken Broccoli Rice skillet wasnt horrible, just dry. Other son liked the Double cheeseburger with a side of some sort of balls...lol. potato balls with bacon. Really liked them. The older lady usually at the register is VERY nice but she gets overwhelmed/anxious when they get busy and kinda chases her tail. Poor lady. Its managers fault, they should be watching for that kind of stuff so people arent waiting extremely long times to be seated while anyone that walks up to pay for thier meal gets helped first. This last visit we had 9....yes, NINE people go thru checkout before she came over and seated us. If it hadnt been for my sweet Momma....it wpuldve gotteb a little ugly up in there. (As our waiter would've said..."up in...
