Two stars because the sales person through 2 donut holes in for free, and he was smiling at he whole time. As for the donuts, they are light and fluffy, and melt in your mouth but it Doesn’t seem like you ate anything when you are done. They charge by the donut, I understand local business need to charge more because they do not have the purchasing power and support of a franchise. So the cost was $1.09 for a plain raised and glazed, $1.19 for a chocolate raised and glazed, and I think even a little more for the chocolate raised and glazed with a couple sprinkles (see pics please.) So a half dozen cost nearly 8 dollars for 6 basic donuts. I usually like to get an apple fritter, but it was over $2.00 so I didn’t get one. The big question — Is the chocolate worth the extra .10 cents??? The answer is no. As you can see from my picture I already ate one of each, and they tasted exactly the same, like sugar melting in my mouth with nothing to really bite into. We wish I could support this local business, but unfortunately the donuts are too airy and sweet for my taste, and I couldn’t taste the chocolate. Maybe if you have some extra cash and want to binge eat some donuts, you could probably down a dozen easy. After I ate the first one, I did want a second one but that is because I felt like I didn’t...
Read moreAll the reviews were spot on. The yeast donuts are like melt in your mouth and cake is a great balance of soft yet crisp on outside. It's true if you say you're a first timer the owner (only worker) will give you sample donut holes (only one variety). If you're looking for the basics done right this is the place for you. Prices are really reasonable. We got a half a dozen and 2 coffee drinks for $11. We had the following: red velvet cake glaze (x2) blueberry cake glaze old fashion cake glaze chocolate long donut filled with peanut butter chocolate circle filled with vanilla
All yums. Peanut butter is not a whipped peanut butter but a legit creamy jiffy kind of PB. Its pretty rich. They also had maple dipped variety and sprinkles and cinnamon cake. They also had pine cones, apple fritters and bear claws. The filling choices we had was custard, vanilla cream, peanut butter, lemon and raspberry (i think that was it).
It's a great hole in the wall treasure. If you're looking for fancy and commercialized, you won't find that here.
If there was one of these in Ohio, I...
Read moreGreat donuts! We got the pinecone, the cronut, a cinnamon roll, a blueberry cake, and a chocolate strawberry cronut. The pinecone was like a cinnamon roll that has all its parts sticking out, so good and creative. The cronut was one of the best that ive had. The cinnamon roll was not heavy or even very cinnamon like but it did have a very pleasant vanilla flavor. The blueberry cake was ok the blueberry was more of just a color than a flavor but the cake was moist and sweet unlike most cake donuts. The chocolate strawberry cronut was a lot of good flavors, but honestly all of them together was just too much. They threw in a few donut holes which were amazing, light and fluffy just melting in the mouth just like cotton candy. Lastly there was the hot dog pastry, which was probably the biggest let down, literally a hot dog in a...
