Service was absent, totally absent. Get service like this and your food should come with a rebate, because you’re likely to never return. There’s no excuse for how bad it was. I don’t care if you’re nice and apologetic if your ability as a a waiter is this poor, your support staff is nowhere to be found and it’s a wasteland when looking for an FOH manager. Why come back. Slow place already anyway. It is not looking good for Parry’s at this location.
Food wise it’s a success in the flavor and deliciousness categories, but not value. Third trip to Parry’s, first to this location. The chicken is fried nice (clean oil) and is very juicy. The parmesan fries are great! The pizzas are always good here. Love the crust. Love the cook. Most of the flavors come through in most of the pizzas.
Two comments would be the same as so many cheaply ran restaurants nowadays - $7 for a handful of fries is robbery. No one should ever buy these. It’s a scam. Overcharging for no food. Zero value for a lot of the appetizer items. The happy hour menu is a joke here too. All the fare is reduced size. So you reduce the size and the price - that’s not a deal! That’s not a menu people stop by for after work.
Food cost on fries is well under a dollar. If the happy hour fries are a smaller order than the regular fries you have to say so. Either way we weren’t the only table to speak out loud about what a poor amount we received for the price. Literally a handful of fries. No way. Never again.
The boneless chicken may have tasted good but we are talking maybe 2-3oz of chicken for $9. $7 on HH menu. Total scam. No way, never order these. The HH menu is a bust. Like so many places the HH is a total scam. The amount of places that have these menus and do not deliver even close to what a HH menu should is shameful. Never a good deal most places lately.
The drinks were okay. Not special. Overpriced. We received the bar drinks before the fountain. the 2lb margarita mug for a pizza place is dumb. Pint glasses guys. No waters offered or given to the alcohol drinkers and since we never saw our server for the entire meal once one drink was done, that’s all you’re having. Forget refills on fountain too, didn’t happen. Can’t ask about the food. Can’t get anything added, no server.
We sat for almost 10 minutes before our server came by at all. He forgot he took our drink order and came by a second time to our surprise to take it again. We let him know he took our order, he took it again. Staff drops off pizzas with no plates. Flag down another person who is not our server. Our server seems set on staying on the pos non-stop.
We were one of two tables that were completely ignored by this server after he took our order. At one point he asked if we were still waiting for our food, in fact our plates had been cleared by someone else (not a manager, who was totally absent the entire meal) we were completely finished and waiting on a check because another round of drinks was out of the question at this point. He literally had no idea how long we had waited. Unreal.
Still tipped 20%, but he wasn’t worth it. Overall the experience was weak weak double weak. Man I am I tired of all the phony high priced food cost and the server wages being put on me and there is no good service, none at all here, and the food portions have been halved while the prices doubled. Going out is for discernible customers now, and places like this are not winning any new guests...
Read moreSo my son and I decided to try out Parry's new location here in Arvada Friday night. This was our first time trying Parry's Pizza. Now I connot comment on the pizza itself for we did not order the pizza but from the looks of it from surrounding table's it looked good visually. We were not there for the pizza. When we arrived it was tawords the end of there happy hour so they were quite busy. Which is always a good sign right? Wrong! The young inexperienced hostesses seemed frantic and kinda at a loss. I could sense there frustrations. So we were put on a 10mn wait. which is just fine. I'll wait for good food. When we got to sit down it took a few minutes just to get some water. Ok there busy I get that but definitely took a while to get our order taken. Our server was sweet. She was just slow and over booked. Now my son ordered the Wet Beef Sandwhich (Not Dipped and the peppers on the side). I ordered the Phillie sandwich and we both ordered the beef dip on the side. W fries of coarse. Let me tell you and I'm no New Yorker. That was an embarrassment to the New York East side Phillie culture I've ever witnessed. I know what a beef sandwhich is and I admire and love a good phillie. These we're none of those! You need a good fresh hogie roll first of all and the meat portions were just sad. Now they may have been confused w my sons order but they put my peppers and onions on the side. Did not order it that way. Now there was bairley any of this so called beer cheese on it (that was no mistake) and these sandwiches were flat. Almost looked like cuban sandwiches. The meat tasted good but barely any of it on them. The fries were barely warm and not crispy. Not even golden brown. I always give the benefit of the dought and give a spot another chance. Could've been just a off night for the chef's and staff. But I know now not what to order. Even if the chef's made them sandwiches correctly they still wouldn't pass as a New York beef sandwhich knore a Phillie. Not w that bread and ingredients to work with. So with that said Parry's Pizza I may atleast visit you and try your pizza on another time but boy it better be gold for us to come back. If not .... What a waste of new bricks! Good luck w future hungry hard earning money...
Read moreParry’s pizzeria and tap house near olde town Arvada is one of the newer restaurants in the area so we thought we would give it a try, and overall we’re really glad we did. The building is new with exposed brick and has a very cool taphouse urban feel mixed with some industrial chic fixtures and lighting ,overall I think it’s a cool theme. There is a large outdoor seating area and a see-through garage door type window that opens into the building. My wife and I tried the veggie pizza with added spicy sausage and thought while the sauce was delicious and thick, and the toppings were fresh, the pizza skin itself did not seem to be hand tossed and appeared to be premade. that being said the spicy sausage while it was cut very thinly was still delicious. I prefer a hand tossed more artisan approach to the pizza itself but for what it was it was good. It was a thin crust pizza which personally I like and I am not sure but I do not think they offer a deep dish option you’ll have to investigate further when you make the trip. They had a good selection of craft beer and we had several Mexican loggers that were served frosty cold with a delicious lime, and they seemed to do a great job of washing down the pizza. Our server was fantastic and she took the time to explain the menu and engage in conversation while explaining a little bit about the taphouse and their business model. We went around 3 PM so we did not have to wait for a table and we’re seated at a nice booth at the bar ,which by the way has more than a few large screen TVs that would be great to watch sporting events or games on. Overall the place was really cool the service was fantastic and the pizza in my opinion fell slightly short of the mark for me but my wife did enjoy it. As far as price we both felt it was reasonable and the menu had a ton of wonderful looking options we just were there for pizza so we did not sample the other offerings…If you’re looking for a nice pizzeria in the old town area with a lot of craft beer options and some TVs to watch the game Parry’s...
