My experience at this location in Ashland was deeply disturbing due to the discriminatory behavior exhibited by a staff member. I felt singled out, bullied, and treated unfairly, which is unacceptable in any establishment. Every customer, irrespective of their national background or status, deserves respect and equitable treatment. The only mistake I made was to ask for coffee. A staff member refused to serve me, claiming I was rude, which was not the case. Another customer overheard the staff member's aggressive tone towards me and even apologized on her behalf.
When I contacted the manager, I was told to wait outside for my food as if I were a second-class citizen. Usually, dogs and others animals are not allowed to be inside of a store. No justification was provided as to why I was refused to be served or had to, in a demeaning manner, wait outside for my order. I am a scientist, a middle-class naturalized American, who has traveled the world and resided in three states. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly. I have filed a complaint with Starbucks headquarters. If Starbucks fails to address this matter, I am prepared to share the recording, where the manager asked me to wait outside, across platforms like Twitter,...
Read moreThe coffee here is decent enough, but you'll grow old waiting for your order in the drive-thru morning, noon, or late in the evening. During peak or off peak the time of day makes no difference. Once you make it to the window you will often sit even longer watching the baristas line up beverages for the cars behind you. Naturally this randomness confuses the baristas and leaves your coffee colder than it should be when their strange interpretation of efficiency actually does work in your favor.
The parking lot is one of the worst designed I have ever seen. Rivaling the tight lot of the location on Taylorsville rd in Louisville, KY. You'll often find yourself stuck trying to get out as cars backed up in the drive-thru, people leaving the drive-thru (after finally receiving their coffee only to become stuck), cars pulling out, and numerous others trying to enter the lot all meet in a large, confused jam. All of which must share the same space no matter the direction they're headed.
But the coffee is decent when you can get it so i'll add a...
Read moreMy 17 and 18 year old daughters love coming to Starbucks. I on the other hand do not. I feel like their coffee is WAY overpriced. No small coffee should cost almost 3 dollars. Yes, I know, I'm cheap. But I can go to most gas stations and get it for like .99 cents, and generally it's pretty good coffee. But as far as the service at this location, it wasn't bad. The employee was friendly and helpful in helping my daughter decide what she wanted, even though they were extremely busy, he was still very patient with her. And as for the atmosphere, I really don't like going in. I'm my own individual, with not a lot of money. I don't look down on anyone, but I feel like this place was opened for the upperclass individuals. Where I'm more comfortable shopping at goodwill, and going to save a lot, and getting my coffee at a gas station for .99 cents lol. But that's...
