Today was the second time I ate at this location. My mom absolutely loves Wahlburgers and everything involving the restaurant so we came here before going to the Gambler game. My dad had the Our Burger, my mom had Jenn’s Chicken Sandwich, and I got the appetizer of wings. I’ve had these wings before at this location and they were great, but today, they were very salty. I work at a restaurant and absolutely hate the thought of bringing up an issue about food to somebody, but these wings were inedible to my taste. So I went up to bar wanting to see if I can get someone to help me out. The manager saw me with my wings right away and asked if he could help me with something. I told him about my situation and he gladly took my wings and asked me where I sat so he knew where to return. He was very pleasant to talk to and was very apologetic (which was super sweet). He came to me and my parents explaining that the batch of buffalo sauce had a lot of salt settled in it and that’s why it was super salty. He returned about 5 minutes later with the wings and checked up on me to see how they were. They were AWESOME! I so wish I saw his name because he did a stellar job. An honest 11/10 manager. He was on the dinner shift on 2/4/23. Thank you so much for making things right and you guys do an...
Read moreI waited over 40 minutes for chicken salad. I am diabetic and I was beginning to feel light headed after 25 minutes of waiting. My family and I were the second group there. While we sat there six more groups came in and were served before us. I was getting very angry after 40 minutes and I was ready to blow a cork! The waitress kept saying that yours will be coming out soon every time she walked by us which was 5 times in about 10 minutes. Finally when our food came out, it was cold and it didn't have any salad dressing on it. It was dry and cold. As the waitress walked by she asked how my salad was, so I told her that it was cold and dry because it doesn't have any dressing on it. She looked at it and said, I will get you some. That took over 5 minutes. When I got to the bottom of the salad bowl, I found the dressing sitting on the bottom. Therefore it must have sat there in the kitchen for over 15+ minutes. Sadly this was NOT the first time something like this happened. Basically every time we have gone there to eat lunch and grocery shop, we have had poor service, the food tasted bad or an item was missing. I realize that restaurants and businesses are shorthanded, but why can't the manager, dishwasher, cook or bartender bring...
Read moreI brought my boss there for lunch. He was very excited to check the place and try the food. I had been to the Des Moines, Iowa location but this was his first experience at Wahlburger's and I regret to inform you that it will probably be his last as well as mine at this location. We arrived around 12:15 and ordered our food at the self serve kiosk. After ordering, we sat at a table and waited for our food to come out. About 5 minutes into the wait, they called the number 7. An older gentleman walked around with a "to go" order and asked for #7. We were #74 and it was a dine in order. Finally after waiting approximately 30 minutes, my boss went to inquire about our lunch. Finally an employee came out with what appeared to be that "to go" order from 25 minutes prior and said they had mixed up the order numbers. As expected, the food was not hot, the buns were soggy, I received fries instead of the side salad I ordered and the manager never once checked on us after walking by at least a dozen times while we sat. The food ended up being so bad, that my boss never ate his onion rings. I paid $40 dollars for our lunch, that was late, cold, and soggy. We could have stopped at a local burger place and paid much less...
