The food here is overpriced, compared to other restaurants nearby and the waitress was late serving one of my colleagues his food. He ordered first before us, but once my other friend ordered his salad, that salad came out first before his. That's absurd! The salad was also small, and squished into a tiny plate that looked uncomfortable eating. Any movement with his utensils, would cause some to spill over on the table. Not fun. When my colleague's burger finally came out, it looked more disappointing than a Wendy's burger - it didn't even taste that great, so my colleague said. The burger meat was stale, and the fries that came with it were bland and unseasoned. He had to sprinkle salt and pepper on them to actually have them taste decent. The waitress also forgot to bring us napkins and utensils too ... I do not suggest eating here, at Hurricane Ron's. It's a nicely decorated environment to hang out for families and groups, but don't expect much for the food and service. They were a disappointment. EDIT: To the owner who replied claiming that each table has a roll of paper towels - no, there are none in the outdoor tables. That is where we were seated. I think staff didn't put them outside because nature would have taken them away, if they were left out there?

We dined in here for lunch today and had a relatively okay experience until my partner began eating the takeout burger I ordered him. A few bites in he had the unwelcome surprise of a completely raw patty of the Camel Burger which he didn't realize until he had already taken a few bites. Our actual dine-in experience was lengthy, but good. Our server was great and very communicative regarding the backup the kitchen was experiencing. From time of order, it took over an hour for our food to hit our table which we were okay with. Our halibut fish and chips were delicious but the waitress had to apologize several times that the burger in question we had ordered was still not out by the time we had finished eating our food and paid the bill (the orders were all placed at the same time). I'm confused how it took 1.5 hours to get out a burger, especially when the patty was 80% raw. Not just rare, but mush ground meat. Honestly this would've been a good experience minus the burger and if we weren't currently having some health concern anxiety. Great place for fish, friendly and communicative service, and hopefully no long lasting impacts from the burger...

I’m gonna give this place a solid 3.5 stars. The staff is friendly and the decor is very cool and fun! But the food was more than a little over priced for what you get. We got the calamari platter, fried frog legs, fried alligator, and the crab melt. The only really good thing was the crab melt. That one I can and will whole heartedly endorse. But the calamari? Honestly tasted like imitation meat. Really thick and lacks the thin and delicate texture and taste I always look forward to in calamari. I do NOT. recommend the alligator or frog. We got it just to see what it was like. The alligator was fully inedible and tasted disgusting. The frog legs were chewy but much better in comparison to the alligator. Still don’t recommend it. Especially when both of those things cost $7.50 for… basically nothing worth it. But! I think you’ll fare better if you go for the generic and normal options.

I’ve been a long time visitor of this place long before it became Hurricane Rons but that stops today. I drove from inner Oregon just to have their razor clam strips because I’ve always thought they were THE BEST. However, they changed the batter and they’re not flavored as well and were cooked a bit tougher than they should’ve been. When I expressed my concern the owner approached my table and said “Huh, you’re the only one that doesn’t like them done this way. These were voted on and people said they liked this batter over the other one because we’ve always offered two types” Well, that’s a lie because oof all the NUMEROUS times I’ve ordered these I’ve never known them to have two different types of batter. The waitress takes them off the bill, I hate food waste, so I was going to take them home for my partner to try. They then wanted to fully charge for them and were rudely vocal about it to the people within the restaurant. I left them there to be thrown out to avoid paying for something I didn’t love. Meh, I won’t be returning as I don’t recommend giving Mo way to such a rude business owner. Oh, you should know they also now charge $1 per pound to have the crabs cleaned. No thank you. As stated, they won’t be getting my business m in...

I’ve given this place a couple chances. When I went with my husband we were treated okay by the server…. But the food portions were still nowhere near what they should be for the cost.

The wait is long here, but it’s a tourist town and that’s kind of to be expected in the summer months.

The first time we got seafood, and that was decent. The sturgeon fish and chips was good. But again, everything seemed small and underwhelming. We ordered a myriad of apps and entrees to share.

When I went a second time the server was incredibly rude and stand offish. Same server as last time. Maybe it was just a bad day, hard to say.

The second time I got the camel burger, the patty was thin and burnt. There were nearly no fries. That meal is nearly $30 on its own I believe.

Sadly I won’t be returning, I love the unique menu idea and fresh delivered seafare but their execution is a rip off imo.

They do have some neat decor to peruse, but the experience overall wasn’t what I’d hoped for when I initially read a few of these rave reviews.

I will say as a side note it’s rather off putting to see such aggressive responses to any and all criticism in the replies here as well… some reviewers earn this type of response. But not all criticism...
