Four of us went for lunch on a Saturday, we'd never been there before but found the restaurant to be delightful. They do not have an extensive menu but between the various dishes tried, we covered chicken, beef and falafel. Three wraps were ordered (chicken, beef and falafel) and one falafel platter with everyone raving about the quality and quantity of their respective lunch. While the wraps were prepared simply, they were stuffed into their respective pita and covered with sauce. The falafel platter came with three pieces of falafel, hummus, tabouli, baba ganoush, pickles, tahini, a wonderful spicy green sauce and pita bread. As one of the falafel eaters, I can say that I would be hard pressed to remember falafel that was any better in my past dining experiences - it was delicious. The meat eaters both thought their wraps were exceedingly good with the chicken lover proclaiming throughout the meal as to how good the bird tasted. Counter service is offered, there is a small sitting/dining area that was scrupulously clean, and the food arrived hot and delicious. The personnel working in the cafe are extremely nice, offering extra sauces, bread or assistance in what ever is required. The dining experience was an absolute wonderful time and we'll...
Read moreYou walk into The Rush Mediterranean Grill in Atascocita, and immediately you know you’ve stumbled into something real. No gimmicks. No pretense. Just food that speaks for itself.
I had the combo plate, and let me tell you...this wasn’t just a quick work lunch with the boys, it was an experience. The chicken, the kofta, the rice....all seasoned like someone in the kitchen actually gives a damn. The hummus? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. Smooth, rich, i was eating it with a spoon not realizing they brought a plate of pita.
And then the baklava. Sweet, flaky perfection that makes you realize how often dessert gets phoned in elsewhere. Not here. This was the best I’ve had anywhere...period.
The service matched the food. Genuine, attentive, family run hospitality. They make you feel as if you're sitting in their home instead of sitting in a restaurant.
If you want to eat food that feels alive...food that grabs you by the collar and reminds you why eating out is supposed to be special...this is the spot. Atascocita may not be on everyone’s culinary map, but The Rush Mediterranean...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin… The Rush served up more than just a meal, it brought me right back to my roots. I ordered the chicken kabab plate along with the fried koba, and with just one bite, I was transported to my family’s kitchen, surrounded by the flavors and love I grew up with. The chicken was grilled to perfection, juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The rice tasted exactly like the kind my mom, auntie, and grandmother used to make. Pure comfort in every spoonful. The fried koba? Absolutely incredible. Crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned on the inside. But I was so excited to eat it that I completely forgot to snap a picture first. So while it didn’t make it into the photo, trust me, it was worth every bite. The hummus was silky smooth, and the tabouleh was fresh and vibrant. The plate came with two sauces: a bold garlic sauce that paired beautifully with the chicken, and a cilantro-based sauce that was amazing with the rice.
Every detail was thoughtfully prepared. My heart is full. Thank you, The Rush, for feeding my soul and reminding...
