Let me start by say 1) I don’t ever review places because I understand everyone has a bad day now and then. 2) I also know what a pain it can be to make travelers let alone 2 of them so I do try and call ahead with ample time for them to do them. However, I feel the need to write this review because this has happened on multiple occasions. I normall call about an hour to an hour and a half early because I know they take a while to make those giant travelers. The last time I called around 5:45am to pick up at 7 am. When I got there they had yet to start making them. On this particular day I had the time to wait so I waited it out and they got my order done. This morning I called around 6:10am once again to pick up at 7am. I specifically told the girl on the phone to make sure they start them because last time they didn’t and I didnt have the time to wait today, as I was on a time crunch to be to work. I get there and say that I pre ordered two travelers, and no one knew what I was talking about all they could say was “nope sorry we don’t have them. Are you sure you called this one?” At this time I showed them the number I called and they said it was correct. However apparently no one talked to me or knew anything about it. It’s just extremely frustrating when you call ahead to make sure they not only have enough time to do it, but so that I can also be on time to work. I have never been rude to them or made them give me anything more than what I asked for even when they have messed up my order. Read moreLike others have mentioned, the staff at this location leaves a lot to be desired. I think they need to take a field trip down the street to Chick-fil-a to see what real customer service looks like.
Updated 8/31/25 Sunday evening Once again we order using the app, go in to pick up the drinks, nobody says hi, despite saying hi to the employees there, still nobody greets us. We get our two drinks, get in the car and drive off just to find out they left out an ingredient for my wife's drink. Poor customer service and messed up drink orders seem to be the norm at this location these days. I was hoping it was just bad luck on our part, but more and more it seems to be bad hiring choices.
*there is NO WAY all of these reviews happen to be 5 stars for this location. My wife and I have been regulars to this location for years and its NEVER been as awesome as so many of these reviews claim!!! Maybe they just treat college students better than older couples? I dont know, but this place is in no way 5 stars.... You offer an entire course called "To Be Welcoming" to help promote a store environment that makes everyone feel welcomed and appreciated according to your website. Did this store location participate? Your hiring is all about DEI, but is your customer service about DEI as well or is that just for your employees (called owners)? Read more(technically 4.5 stars) best starbucks in Athens. friendliest baristas, amazing service, hell- just last week they apologized about not having a particular sandwich i had ordered on mobile.. and offered me a free replacement AND a gift card! they’re so sweet.
i only deducted a half star out of obligation of a few incorrect drinks over the year i’ve primarily been a regular at this location(drinking a shaken espresso without sugar right now lol), but accidents happen. i go in on occasion to do schoolwork, most patrons are super courteous and quiet, some idle conversations can get loud but you’re in public.. so.. yeah. restrooms are so clean, i get self conscious of mine at home.
they’re busy a good majority of the day, i highly recommend doing mobile orders and picking up in store if you’re in a rush! amazing job guys. wish this was a unionized location...
