Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype
Buffalo Bar in Atlanta is, at best, a glorified American deli—and that’s being generous. From the moment we walked in, we were met with no greeting or acknowledgment. Instead, we were directed toward a cramped entryway with electronic ordering kiosks, offering no space or guidance for first-time customers.
Despite what their branding suggests, this is not a dine-in restaurant. There’s no real dining experience to speak of—just limited counter seating and food served in styrofoam boxes with paper cups and disposable utensils. For the prices they’re charging, I expected far more. My 10-piece wings were $14.99—wings only. Fries were an extra $2.75, and a drink was $2.99 with no free refills. The food? Completely average. Nothing memorable or flavorful enough to justify the cost.
My partner ordered the Filet Mignon hibachi, and unfortunately, the steak was incredibly dry and overcooked. The only redeeming part of the dish was the fried rice.
To make things worse, the staff weren’t particularly welcoming. Seating was scarce, and the vibe felt rushed. After our meal, while my partner was waiting for me at our small window “bar top” table, a staff member asked her to move her things so they could clean—even though we hadn’t officially left the table. We were still using it.
We drove over an hour to visit Buffalo Bar, hoping for a special experience, but left disappointed and feeling unwelcome. This place didn’t deliver on food, hospitality, or atmosphere. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for an actual sit-down...
Read moreWhen your kid is a Dragon Ball Z superfan and spots a viral Atlanta food spot? You make the detour. Buffalo Bar pulled us in, and the experience left a mark.
The space? Clean, welcoming and tech-forward with a self-service touchscreen ordering system right at the entrance. The host? Friendly and helpful. Prices hovered around $20 per person, but the portion sizes? Big enough to have Goku full!
We ordered: • Beef bulgogi bowl • Vegetable hibachi fried rice • Bento box • Beef noodle bowl • Truffle Fries • Honey lemon pepper & garlic parmesan wings
Let me tell you, their Asian dishes were the true power up! Flavorful, rich and satisfying. The wings and fries, though? Missed the mark. With a name “Buffalo Bar” you’d expect the wings to be the TRUTH! Sadly, they came out bland, like they forgot the training arc. They did have Lawry’s and lemon pepper seasonings at the bar for you to DIY your flavor. A little too “some assembly required” for us.
Would I go back? Not likely. Our photos are memories enough. To the owners, consider dropping the “Buffalo” and rename to Dragon Bar Z....
Read moreLoved it here, good shows playing, and even had the "retro-crush" YT channel playing, which would show tidbits of old school anime as well :D. Philly cheesesteak was amazing, you can season the fries to your liking with the seasoning salt(most places with a similar menu to here, so you can't be disappointed when you already know what you're expecting yknow.). Peach drink never disappoints anywhere in ATL(or GA). You order by a screen at the front door, which can be cluttered when walking in initially, especially since it's a somewhat small store so please be wary of that(the crowd isn't that bad on more leisurely days). Menu is very clear, no difficulties ordering in that aspect either(I giggled at Trunks being in drink section iykyk). The music was all anime openings and endings(started getting annoyed cause they kept playing MHA OPs & EDs, but that's just me lol).
Definitely would love to come back with friends during momocon season, and recommend to any anime fan whose looking for good food in...
