It's been a long time since I've had ikea meatballs and had a craving, so drove just for that reason. The queue was long, but moved fast, the staff was quick, and were quick with any recommendations or explanations needed. The portion size was relatively small, but that wasn't the disappointment. I guess times change for everyone because I remember the meatballs being fresh and moist, but they have become dry rubber pellets clearly bounced from a freezer l then swabbed with a bit of gravy in the hopes you can eat them. Even the sweets which I remember being amazing were just again pulled from a freezer case. I know costs for restaurants are at an all time high, but that doesn't mean sacrifice quality. I know everyone would pay a bit more for better food. The dining area serviced a lot of people and there didn't seem to be much in the way of cleaning the previously occupied tables, and the dish return was overdue for service. The drinks area was sticky and in chaos.

During the summer, I love grabbing their $1 ice cream, and in the winter, I’m all about their salmon because, honestly, it’s the best. But that’s not all I go there for. When I’m craving Swedish food, I head upstairs to the restaurant for meatballs, potatoes, and lingonberry jam—a classic taste of home. I also usually stop by their food store to stock up on all the Swedish goodies I need to relive my memories—from chocolates to crispbread and everything in between. Of course, IKEA is also a furniture store, and yes, I’ve made a few purchases over the years. My guest room bed is from there, and it’s held up perfectly for years. Overall, it’s great to have a place that reminds me of Sweden. I still remember moving away from home and buying my very first furniture from IKEA. As for the food area, there’s not much customer interaction unless you’re ordering korv or pizza—just grab what you need and head home. Just like in Sweden. Cheers, BN

First time coming to IKEA and it was AMAZING! The Swedish Meatballs never fail, good price for food as well I was surprised! Only one star left because there was a grumpy old white lady as a cashier (which I saw that she works behind the kitchen too with trays) who was so rude because I didn’t realize you couldn’t pay cash, she pointed to the sign and stared me down like I didn’t belong here I felt uncomfortable. Luckily there was an amazing guy who helped me and inserted his card and I gave him the money, I’ll be here again hopefully without that rude lady she needs to be fired! :)

I visited this place for the first time about a year ago, and I was truly impressed. There was such a wide variety of food, they even had fried sweet plantains and so many more delicious options. I left thinking I would come back every day of the week if I could.

Unfortunately, my experience this past Saturday was the complete opposite. It was honestly terrible. There were only meatballs, fish, rice, mashed potatoes, and a few small pieces of cake. All the portions were extremely small, and the drink machine was broken only Coca-Cola, water, and two kinds of sparkling soda were available. Everything else wasn’t working. On top of that, the coffee machine was also out of order.

The contrast between my first visit and this recent one was really disappointing. After this last experience, I don’t think I’ll be...
