I tried Blaze for the first time since my friend absolutely loves it for lunch. Blaze is a made to order casual dining restaurant. Think of Subway or Chipotle style but for fresh gourmet Pizza. Their menu has already gourmet designed pizzas that you could alter or you can personalize your own pizza. More importantly the pizza crust is NY style so it’s thin and deliciously crispy so less toppings the better! If you’re a carb conscious eater there is also a 1/2 pizza and 1/2 salad combo as well (my friend’s favorite). One of my favorite things about Blaze is their salad has organic greens a rarity in the dining out world. Anyway here’s the slice! Haha I personalized my pizza due to living an anti-inflammatory diet and lifestyle. (For example I don’t eat tomatoes or any of the night shade plants, very little tomato sauce and recently I started eating dairy free meaning pizza is rare and special indulgence which is to be enjoyed before 19:00.) Blaze is a great place b/c they offer goat cheese instead of mozzarella! Here’s what I call the Greek goddess pizza I created: Goat cheese, pesto sauce, mushrooms, black olives, spinach and artichokes. Sometimes I add a balsamic drizzle. At noon I had ordered my pizza and arugula fruit salad in advance via the app during Friday lunch rush. It was promptly made to pick up 15 mins after my order while I was in a long line w/my friend. As I inched my way to pick up, the anticipation building I reached my box and gingerly opened it. That familiar pizza smell the pesto spread generously, goat cheese melted and I attempted not to eat most of my pizza. I wished there were more mushrooms and they forgot the artichokes however the pizza was simply DELICIOUS. I saved two slices for the next day and instead ate the rest for dinner because it was that good. I finished my salad in the restaurant despite it was drenched in salad dressing. The manager even came by to ask if everything was good and cleared our plates for us, wow! 😀 I didn’t mention the missing artichokes b/c it was no big deal and realized the artichokes would have weighed down the thin crust pizza so it would’ve been better without. The moral to this seemingly never ending story is if you want a personalized pizza you could order through the app but I recommend to stand in line be patient! REMEMBER LESS TOPPINGS THE BETTER! And remember to ask for dressing on the side w/the salad. Rating: Quality and freshness of food 5 Order speed 4 Correct order 4 customer service 5 Ambiance 5 And they recycle! 👍🏻 for being environmentally conscious. Although recycling the salad containers would be good too. This can be avoided...
Read moreGreat pizza, great salad and all at a great price. Will definitely come back multiple times.
Update: awful service. They screwed up so many orders last night.
For starters, the place is so chaotic behind the counter that the workflow is extremely inefficient. Everyone is everywhere, nearly running into each other. The order papers get mixed up. There is no one confirming that people are actually getting their food (i.e. no feedback). The employees are basically robots trying to crank out at many orders as they can no matter who gets lost. There is no accountability or checks to confirm that orders are received.
McDonald's and other fast food places have the screens that monitor order progress and whether orders have been received. Blaze, take note.
Other places that tend to be chaotic (Chick-fil-A) have personnel that check on you if they see you haven't received your order.
Translation: get on point regarding customer service. You have good food at a good price but completely and utterly fail with regards to customer order...
Read moreI am 8 months pregnant with gestational diabetes. My man orders off of DoorDash and they messed up the entire order from the toppings to the crust to everything. I want a cauliflower crust, and it is certain stuff I don't like, and certain stuff I cannot eat. They messed up the entire order to where we had to get in a vehicle and drive up to them. And show them, and they probably didn't expect us to pop-up the way we did because it was ordered through DoorDash. But when people are spending their hard earned money, and you have situations where you have restrictions and you can only eat certain things, you want your food done right now. The lady who's remaking a pizza was understanding and nice. But that does not excuse how they rushed it and gave us whatever they wanted us to have through doordash... they literally place stuff on the pizza I didn't ask for, yet the receipt order was on the box.... So now we have to pay not only the delivery charge, but the taxes plus the fees they placed just to not get what we want. The pizza was remade correctly, and honestly was very delicious. Fastforward, checked my glucose 2 hours after eating 3 slices of cauliflower crust pizza and it was 145, so I don't think it was cauliflower crust at all smh change my rating back down to 1. Can't eat here until I have my baby.I did nutrition calculator before we ordered and I checked the carbs before I placed the order. My sugar should have...
