The waitresses were really nice. They were very helpful and assisting. However, this place ran out of Mozzarella cheese sticks, wings, black-eyed peas, rib tips, and the Brunswick stew smelled and tasted scorched. It took at least 45 minutes to bring out the appetizers. Another 15-20 minutes to bring out the main course. The ribs were burnt and the greens were not cut. The greens looked like whole leaves that were not seasoned. The chicken was not seasoned at all and there was no air conditioning in the area we sat in. Despite these things, I felt it was a small business and deserved a fair shake until it came time for the checks. Apparently, there is an issue with how they enter the items on the register. A lady with an accent was very upset at the poor waitress for allowing us to split the check!!! It was only 6 of us. 3 people on each check. The lady didn't know the menu as she confusingly said there is no such thing as a pulled chicken sandwich which was on the menu I pointed out to her. She falsely accused my brother-in-law of not paying for their drinks in which we looked at the receipts later and found out they did. We felt bad for the waitress and almost paid for their drinks so she wouldn't get in trouble. She also confusingly thought that they had paid for our plate. We told her just go ahead and charge us again. Then, we found out later that we had both ordered the same thing and he paid for his respective plate. Another thing I didn't like was the receipt is not detailed out as to what you are paying for everything is labeled DEPT 01. You have to go off the prices of what you ordered guesstimate what each price stands for. My husband ended up with food sickness about an hour later. Whoever the lady at the register is needs to work on her customer service. You need to treat people the way you want to be treated. She should have a better understanding of the business if she has a higher level position than...
Read morei am still on the quest searching for a Great BBQ spot in Georgia...This was first time visiting. Folks were wonderful and polite. Called my order in they said the order will be ready in 20mins, call was place at 1534hrs. Got there early arrived at 1545hrs paid for my order, cashier stated my order will be ready in 10mins. Step outside as instructed came back in 12mins later, time 1607hr order not ready. NO PROBLEM...cashier stated they still working on it, they will bring it to the car. Gave me a drank while I waited. So I go back outside and waited, looked at the time 1635hrs still nothing. So I go back in, they bagging up my order. Finally reach home to serve dinner to my family and this is our feedback: Beef Rib Plate...Cabbage Excellent, Black eye was undercooked (nicely seasoned but undercooked) Beef Ribs was salty and tough, and I ask for the sauce on the side but the Rib had sauce of them. Brunswick Stew was good and they make cornbread...we enjoyed it. Sampler Plate was hit and miss. hit: (cornbread, red beans/rice and 2 ribs) skinniest ribs I have ever seen and ate, it's like they didn't feed that pig enough should have taken a picture of the skinniest rib bones ever. But they were good just not enough. Everything else on the plate was a miss. So dissapointed but you have try what's on their menu to determine what statisfy your taste buds and palate. Brisket Sandwhich was OK...nicely seasoned but felt like a good roast beef sandwhich versus being a traditional Brisket Chopped/Cut. Will I come back here again, YES! Every Restaurant or Food Truck has a Good Day of Bad/Off Day. Regardless service and the quality of the food should never...
Read moreIf I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I visited for the first time last week and it was pretty empty. We walked in and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay because it looked dirty but I figured maybe it was supposed to be a part of the hole in the wall bbq atmosphere. It smelled really good in there so I decided to give it a try.The waitresses were okay but didn’t offer any suggestions since it was our first time. My boyfriend and I ordered the brisket plates. We get our food on these flimsy paper plates and the portions look like they’re for a child. The food was HORRIBLE!!!! We couldn’t tell if the brisket was brisket or shredded pot roast. We had to try season all of our food because it was bland and they tried to slather bbq sauce to cover the meat that tasted like paste. I don’t know if they use bbq scented air fresheners but the meat did not taste like it hit a grill at all. The cornbread was thick, crumbled and hard and the food was overall bland. The best thing was the sweet tea. Overall, my boyfriend didn’t eat his food and I tried to eat most of mine because I hate wasting money. Go to Jim ‘N Nicks or Fox Bros if you want good bbq.
P.S. I saw the review with the manager disputing customer reviews and she is delusional and unprofessional. Go back to the drawing board. Mop the floor, clean the bathrooms, actually grill the food and use seasoning on your sides and you...
