Whoever they got to design this pool, clearly never spent any time swimming in one. Pointless to make a design shape which looks creative but has you connected with and sharing the same water with the children’s splash area. Not just wastes a lot of valuable space, but is a problem for reasons you might not want to think much about… and only gives a few, very shallow lanes where actual swimming takes place. And it isn’t like they didn’t have an idea to start from, the previous pool had 10 lanes for lap swimming and supported a swim team. While the facility and people that work there are lovely, it is very difficult to schedule a swim appointment as a working adult. Take the following into consideration before you become a member:

lap lanes are only open between 9-6. A challenge for those that work 9-5 jobs

you have to call to schedule swim appointments. Many other locations use a web or app-based scheduling system. Calling makes booking appointments more cumbersome than it needs to be

no swimming unless a life guard is present. Sometimes guards aren't available and swim appointments get canceled

We had a bad experience at a recreation center where my child and I encountered rude and racist behavior. A staff member, pretending to be the pool manager, treated us with no respect and displayed poor management skills. Despite the front desk indicating the pool was open, we were told to leave just five minutes after entering, rudely stating it was closed. This happened around 6:30 PM.
