2016: I am amending my review from over two years ago. Last week I just decided to go back to see if they had gotten it together. I am back a second time in a week and a half so that says it all. There is a new (to me) woman running the show now. It is not the same place it was. I am so glad because it was so good and so convenient for me when I first started going. EVERYTHING is great again. It wouldn't surprise me if this new woman is an owner. If she isn't she certainly has set the tone as if she is. Really, really good now. Front to back!
2014: VERY hit and miss. Been about 10 times over last six months since I moved into the neighborhood. I have been there enough that they should recognize me and I believe they did. Tonight was the last time however; it has gotten worse each time. I could not get the linguini to separate into strands; just one cold solid lump. It could be sliced into coagulated cubes however which is the way I ate it until they got busy and started asking me if I wanted a to go box (2 times). Finally they asked me to move to a smaller table next to screaming 3 year old children. In their defense, I was at a four place table which was the only table available when I sat down; I would not have minded moving if I had wanted to stay. I did not take a to go box. ----PS the caprese salad has been excellent every time but once in January and I blamed the winter season tomatoes...

Ordered pasta with sautéed shrimp, which I didn’t receive the shrimp. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager Joe. Advised him of the situation and the first thing he says is “I have to review the cameras”. Umm ok. When I told him I ordered in store and it was 15 mins prior and gave him the order number 81, he said he still needs to check the cameras. Went to FIGO with the messed up food in hand to show him what I didn’t receive on my order. He refused to look at the cameras. He didn’t even look at the food to make sure. Then he told me I didn’t tell him the order number and that I was speaking with Carlos (the man on the phone identified himself as Joe). He insisted I email the owner, Sandro for a refund. No food? No refund?? I demanded either my food fixed or a refund or I’d have to file a police report. Unacceptable. Not even an offer to remake the order that was messed up. He would not print a refund receipt. He ended up writing a note stating I’d be refunded but it would take 2-3 days. Crazy, it didn’t take 2-3 days for them to take my money for an order they messed up, so we shall see! ...
Read moreEver since Figo changed it's set up to no contact. The food has gotten worse and worse. The quality of the food has gone down and rather than admit that the recipes have changed, they tried to tell somebody who's been coming to this place over 10 years that I'm wrong about that. I used to tell people to come here all the time, but lately I've made sure to let people know that it is no longer the restaurant that it once was. The customer service has gotten worse even though they have to do way less. The food comes out on paper plates and that soaks up half of the sauce from most of the pasta plates. The meatballs are burned. The sauces don't taste the way they used to and you can tell that they have cheapened the ingredients. They used to have real chefs that consistently made great food but now the food tastes unauthentic and watery . I kept coming back hoping they would get it together, but I've officially given up. I'm just really upset because this used to be my favorite Italian food place in the city but now I don't think I'll...
